True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1550

Gary rushed out in search of Celeste. The moment he stepped out the door, Ernest opened his as well.

Ernest had already taken a shower and changed his clothes. The two brothers exchanged glances.

Ernest looked at Gary, who was wearing a bathrobe when he exited his room, and found it strange, "What's going on? Aren't you going to put some clothes on before leaving your room?"

Gary immediately asked, "Ernest, have you seen Celeste?"

Ernest hurriedly shook his head, "No? Wasn't she in your room? When I came upstairs, I saw Celeste entering your room. Is she gone?"

"Not only is she gone, but her suitcases are also gone!" Gary answered in dismay.

Ernest frowned as he was stunned as well, "Her suitcases are gone as well?"

Gary carefully recalled what he had told Celeste. He hadn't seemed to have offended her, so why did Celeste disappear?

His anxiousness amused Ernest because it was the first time he saw Gary in such a panic.

"Don't worry, Gary. Celeste came here, and she won't leave even if you did offend her because Mom and Dad didn't. Even if both of you fought, she would never throw a tantrum in front of Mom and Dad. So, she won't leave as she pleases."

Gary could not focus on anything other than Celeste. After Ernest had given him a reality check, he immediately heaved a sigh of relief.

Ernest was right. Celeste would never leave without saying a word for the sake of his parents, but where had she gone?

Ernest came out of his room and gazed down from the staircase. Grace happened to be in the corridor on the second floor. "Mom, where's Celeste?" Ernest asked.

Grace lifted her head and only saw Ernest. With the question, she guessed that Gary might have already found out about Celeste's disappearance.

"Ernest, is Gary looking for Celeste?"

Ernest nodded, "Yes, he's indeed looking for Celeste. When he found out that Celeste was gone, his face went pale."

"Celeste has left," Grace commented casually.

"Left?" Ernest was shocked, "Mom, stop joking. Even if she wants to leave, isn't there a better time for her to do so?" "It's true. She left," Grace spread her hands and shrugged.

Gary's face turned ashen once more. Swiftly, he rushed to the staircase and lowered his head to ask in a flurry, "Mommy, where's Celeste?"

Grace gazed upwards and went to the third floor without saying anything.

Seeing her eldest son exiting his room still in a bathrobe, Grace tried to maintain a straight face although a smile flashed in her eyes, "Since you didn't cherish Celeste, stop wasting her time."

"Since when did I not cherish her?" Gary felt as if he had been wronged.

"How could you cherish her like that? She seems so pitiful with her face all pale. Is that how you should cherish her?" Grace questioned.

Gary was stunned at her words as his face turned another shade paler, "Mommy, tell me. Where's Celeste?"

Noticing Gary, who was about to pass out, Grace eventually gave in, "I arranged a new room for Celeste. She'll be staying alone tonight."

Ernest was surprised but he had a sudden realization. Grace must have heard Lowell say that Gary had caused Celeste's pregnancy and miscarriage. As a woman, Grace could empathize with Celeste, so she hid her from Gary.

Ernest cast a sympathetic glance at Gary.

Gary frowned, his eyes filled with helplessness, "Mommy, you're making things worse. Celeste has cold limbs, especially at night. She can't sleep well without me."

Grace was surprised, "Is it that serious?"

"It's serious indeed," Gary nodded, "I was planning to bring her to the doctor, but I didn't expect you to first make a move. Thank you for being so thoughtful."

Gary rarely expressed his gratitude towards Grace.

Grace took another look at her son, who was still dressed in a bathrobe, "Go back and put some clothes on! There are other women at home. It's inappropriate to run around dressed in such a manner. You scum!"

After saying that, she turned around and left, thoroughly ignoring Gary.

Gary was about to go mad. He swiftly returned to his room and put on clothes. As soon as Gary was done, he left his room to look for Celeste on the second floor.

Due to the limited number of rooms, he could locate Celeste's room in a short time. Coincidentally, Celeste's door was open, so when Gary noticed her tiny figure standing in front of the wardrobe, he immediately entered the room.

"Celeste."

The next second, he reached out and pulled Celeste into his tight embrace as if he wanted to fuse with Celeste and melt her into his core.
