True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1601

On that magical night, Ernest was a gentlemanly beast.

Leah felt like she had given and taken a lot that night.

They were both very satisfied.

At noon, Ernest was woken up by the phone.

The phone had been ringing non-stop. He held Leah, who was sleeping in a daze. He woke up immediately because of the loud noise.

He shifted slightly and the woman in his arms turned over and asked in a daze, "Who's calling? God, it's so noisy. Can't they let us have some sleep?"

"You go back to sleep, I'll go out to answer the phone." Ernest said softly to Leah as he tucked her back into the quilt. Then, he put on his clothes, grabbed the phone and went out to answer it.

Looking down at the caller ID, he saw that it was his brother, Gary. Ernest slowly shut the bedroom door and headed to the kitchen to answer the call.

"Hey, what's the matter?" "Excuse me, where have you been for the past few days? Shouldn't we be going back to England soon?" Gary's voice rang out from the phone. "Celeste and I are booking tickets for tomorrow. Should we book yours too?"

Ernest was slightly startled. It was too sudden for him to leave like this. "I plan to stay for a few more days. You go ahead with Celeste. I don't want to be a third wheel. It'll be nice for you guys to go back together. It'll be awkward with me there anyway."

"Oh, giving up the third wheel life, are you?" Gary chuckled. "I think you're too caught up in your honeymoon to want to leave. If you can't bear to leave your girl, just say that. Don't use us as an excuse and make it sound like we're the ones bothering you."

"I really don't want to be a third wheel. But it's true that I'm enjoying my time here." Ernest did not conceal anything. "I don't deny either reason."

Gary was surprised. "Does this mean you won't be coming back to England with us?"

"You just go ahead with Celeste. I can go alone. I'll catch up with you guys in a couple days!" The night before, he had already decided to postpone his departure by a few days. He would leave once things got more urgent in England.

"Alright, we won't wait for you then. We'll be booking our tickets today. What are you going to say to Mom?"

"I don't think she'll need me to explain anything. She's dying for me to get married, so I'm sure she'll understand why I'm staying behind." Ernest was not worried at all.

"Mm, okay. I won't bother you anymore now. Celeste and I won't bid you farewell. Don't regret later on and hate us for leaving without you, okay?"

"I won't," said Ernest.

Gary continued, "Since there's not much going on at home, you don't have to rush back. Just continue to bask in your life of love. Although, you’ d better not let Sylvia know you've got a girlfriend. You know how she is, she might install a listening device to spy on you."

"Thank you for your advice. I'll be careful. Is Sylvia usually that extreme?" Ernest was a little surprised. His sister was truly the black horse of the family.

"She wants to be a policewoman. Be careful and don't let her hear you, and don't let her know you have a girlfriend." Gary warned again and quickly hung up the phone.

After taking a moment to calm down, Ernest checked his Whatsapp and saw some news about

his classes.

He really had to go back to England soon.

He replied to some messages and decided to take a couple more days off. He really wanted to spend some time with Leah.

After all, that little girl had just transformed into a woman. She was going to need some emotional support. He didn't want to leave at such a crucial time, so he planned to stay as long as he could.

At this time, Leah was lying on the bed. She could hear Ernest's entire conversation. It wasn't very loud, but she could hear most of it pretty clearly.

She didn't expect that he would be leaving so soon, nor did she expect that he would stay a few more days.

Leah was very sad to think about him leaving. But when she thought about how he was staying a few days more just for her, she felt really sweet and warm in her heart.

He was always so thoughtful.

Leah shifted around in bed. She wanted to get up, but her entire body was sore, as if she had broken her bones.

She finally understood that romance novels weren't exaggerating at all when they described the feeling.

Right now, she literally felt like her entire body had gone limp. She had no energy at all, and every part of her was aching.

But, she still insisted on getting up and getting dressed. Before she got out of bed, she was already in so much pain that she was covered with cold sweat. She sat on the bed and gasped.

At this moment, the door opened and Ernest appeared. When he saw that Leah had already sat up, he immediately said, "You haven't gotten enough rest. Sleep for a while more."

"I don't want to sleep anymore." Leah shook her head.
