True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1602

"It's okay. Honestly, you don't have to carry me. I can walk by myself." Leah felt like she was acting a little dramatic, so she smiled embarrassedly.

Ernest shook his head at her and said, "It's okay. I'll hold you, and I'll be gentler."

Sure enough, Ernest very carefully carried Leah into the bathroom and placed her lightly on the toilet bowl. He even asked worriedly, "Is this okay? Do you need my help?"

Leah immediately shook her head and replied awkwardly, "No need, I can do it myself."

During breakfast, as soon as Leah sat down, Ernest filled her plate up with all sorts of food. He made her scrambled eggs, avocado toast with shrimp, and a fruit salad on the side. It was a very healthy meal.

Leah looked down at her plate. Eggs, toast, and salad. She asked him in amazement, "Your efficiency is mind-blowing. How did you prepare all this so early in the morning?"

Ernest looked at the sunshine outside and said, "It's not early morning. It's already past noon. This is our brunch." "Oh, it's so late already?" Leah hadn't looked at the time at all. She subconsciously looked out of the window and noticed that the sun did indeed seem much warmer.

The sun was already high up in the sky. Didn't that mean that it was noon?

They stayed up the entire night and fell asleep at dawn. If it wasn't for that phone call, she wouldn't have woken up at all.

Seated at the table, Leah could still feel her body aching. One could imagine how vigorous they had gotten the night before. Every little move she made sent shockwaves of pain through her.

She took a deep breath and her face turned slightly red.

She found it amazing how they were having breakfast together after having been intimate the night before.

He was becoming more and more gentle towards her. Even his gaze on her was sweet like honey, sticking onto her. He was loyal yet soft.

Ernest kept serving her more food. "Eat more. You are too thin."

The night before, when he was holding her in his arms, he was a little worried. Perhaps because she had fallen sick for a couple days, she had lost quite a bit of weight.

"No, no, I'm eating too much." Leah shook her head. The mere sight of the pile of food on her plate was scaring her.

"Why not?" Ernest frowned and recalled how much she had eaten during that time they hiked up the mountain. "You used to eat a lot before. Why don't you want to eat now?"

Leah was stunned. Honestly, she wanted to say that she didn't feel like moving from how uncomfortable she was feeling.

She couldn't bring herself to eat anything, but she didn't want to say that to him. Because if she did, he would definitely feel guilty. Hence, she decided not to say anything so that he wouldn't worry.

Leah immediately shook her head and said, "I was just acting a little weak, that's all. If I eat too much, I'm worried you'll make fun of me."

"Why would I do that?" Ernest replied with a smile.

"Then, pass me a little more. I'll eat loads so I can gain weight. Will I be nicer to hold then?"

Listening to Leah's words, he observed how she flinched even when she took a breath. She instantly understood that she was just saying all this to protect his feelings. Leah knew him so well, she was very smart.

He suddenly realized what a precious girl he had met. She knew it all, even when he didn't say a thing. Besides that, she was so considerate and genuine. She always faced everything bravely. Really, there was nothing bad he could say about her.

"Eat more fruits, they're high in vitamins." Ernest passed her a few more pieces. "Come on, I'll feed you. Just open your mouth."

Leah froze for a moment before she smiled sheepishly. "I'm not a child. I can eat on my own."

Ernest looked at her adoringly. "I know that it hurts when you move."

Leah was speechless.

Ernest moved his chair over to her and held a fruit to her mouth.

Leah didn't know how to react. She had no idea he had seen through her agony.

It was true that she didn't want to raise her arm because it hurt so much.

By feeding her, it would help her to prevent lifting her sore muscles.

She was very touched.

She opened her mouth wide and bit down on the fruit.
