True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1727

Gary placed Celeste on the bed and gazed down at her with a roguish smile.

It sent her pulse racing when she looked up at his bloodshot eyes.

Concurrently, her heart also ached for him.

Pursing her lips, she stared dazedly at him for a long time before she gave an apology. "I'm sorry."

Gary quirked his good- looking eyebrows and asked, "Why did you say sorry?"

In fact, Gary was aware that she felt sorry for him because she took Heinz's side when they were bickering earlier.

She apologized for it, but she didn't seem to know him well.

He was not angry

Actually, he was very pleased that she had made the choice of building a good relationship with her future parents-in-law. This was what a smart wife should do.

Such a woman would not put her man in an awkward position.

However, he intentionally wore a poker face and couldn't help teasing her. To him, it was entertaining to see her blush.

"For what happened downstairs," Celeste explained sheepishly in a low voice. "I didn't speak up for you, I just did what I thought I should do, but I feel sorry for you."

"Oh, so that's what you're talking about. Then, do you think an apology is enough to make up for it?" Gary purposely asked her with a somber expression.

Celeste's heart skipped a beat. After that, she took a close look at Gary, who laid on the bed, facing her.

Her gaze was fixed on his face. It wasn't until she observed it carefully for quite a while that she said, "No, but I'm apologizing sincerely."

Upon hearing her words, Gary once again lifted his attractive eyebrows. "Oh? Since you are so sincere, then tell me, where's your sincerity?"

Celeste gazed soberly at her and puckered her lips. While her heart was thumping violently, it seemed that she had made up her mind. Under his expectant eyes, she gently moved her face forward and stretched out her hands.

Hugging his neck, she said softly, "I can compensate you with myself. Wasn't this what you meant by trying so hard to give me a hint just now?"

When he heard this, Gary wrapped his hand around her waist and lowered his head to look at her.

There was a touch of weariness on her face since she had just come around from a long coma.

Gary's heart tightened, feeling that even though he had hinted on that, her body had not fully recovered. After all, she had just encountered a catastrophic event.

Severing ties with Cindy completely was a catastrophe.

It was not a walk in the park. Besides, she had scratched Cindy's face, which required extreme pluck and determination.

She had also fallen asleep for so long in the wake of that event.

After she woke up, she did not mention Cindy.

As a matter of fact, it was not that she had banished such thoughts from her mind. She just suppressed them in her heart.

Thinking of this, Gary's heart ached.

Despite his impulse to sleep with her, he felt disinclined to exhaust her. Therefore, he said, "Let's defer the compensation. When your body has recovered, you will have to pay me back in double."

To his surprise, Celeste moved forward. Her lips fell on his, and a kiss had been planted gently.

Gary gasped instantly.

"Celeste, don't try to light my fire. You know I can't hold it in when I'm with you. Do you understand?"

Celeste was also very embarrassed. Her body continuously trembled as she mustered her courage to mumble softly, "Don't you want me? I can do it. I think that there's nothing wrong with my body. I've rested well."
