True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1793

Lydia's words made the whole situation seem very vulgar. No matter how thick skinned Leah may be, she still couldn't stand what Lydia said.

The corners of her mouth twitched and she gave Lydia a serious look. "Well, it seems like you're mighty experienced yourself."

Lydia laughed after being teased and said, "Ah, not really. I'm not super experienced, but I know what a postcoital haze looks like. Furthermore, we're all future lawyers here, and it's important that we collect all the small details. If not, how will we win cases?"

"Hearing you say that puts me to shame. You're such a good student, Lydia. Always looking for an opportunity to learn."

"Of course. Life is a constant learning opportunity." Lydia admitted it proudly.

Leah glanced at her and said, "Even someone's sex life is a chance for you to practice your knowledge. D*mn good, Lydia Wells."

Leah replied, "Well, every detail presents us with an opportunity to learn. Did you forget what our professor used to say?"

"Then do you usually collect evidence after you sleep with your boyfriend in order to take him to court after you break up?" Leah's tone was serious.

However, Lydia knew it was a joke the moment she heard it. Then, she reached out and punched Leah in the shoulder. "Leah, come on, I was just kidding. Why are you so serious? Aren't we supposed to be friends?"

Leah burst into laughter and then looked at Lydia and said, "You started it! You make it sound so vulgar! I still have some sense of shame, you know?"

"Come on, everyone knows that you're thick-skinned. No one is as shameless as you. What happened to that after you got into a relationship?" Lydia reached out to pinch Leah's face.

Leah pushed Lydia's hand away forcefully and shrugged. "People change. I have a boyfriend now, so I need to be more reserved and ladylike. Furthermore, let's not be so old-fashioned, shall we?"

"Mhmm, we shouldn't." Lydia agreed wholeheartedly.

"Let's keep pace with the times." Leah smiled.

Leah's mood was better now because she had reconciled with Ernest. The smile on her face also grew wider.

"Hey, you've been so busy lately, and that's been getting you down, right? Why are you so talkative today? You've become really quiet after you returned from London, so did something happen with your boyfriend while you were there?" Lydia's tone was inquisitive.

Leah glanced at Lydia before she properly looked at her, and Leah's gaze was piercing.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on."

Leah said, "What are you? Obsessed? You've analysed me from head to toe already. Aren't you sick of it?"

"Aren't we good friends? What's wrong with a little analysis?" Lydia admitted frankly, and she even played coy with Leah.

In the end, Leah had no choice but to nod. "Well, we did have some issues, but it's all okay now."

Although she tried to keep her tone nonchalant, the bitterness could still be heard.

"Oh, so that's how it is." Lydia nodded and said, "The class rep said that you could be facing some issues. Your temper's been really bad, so we wanted to invite you out for a trip over the end of the semester to lift your spirits. Well, you look all better now, so I guess there's nothing to worry about."

Leah frowned after she heard this and she looked at her watch. She asked, "Why hasn't the class rep arrived? Didn't you guys say there was something urgent? Did you guys ask me to come because you want to help me get out of my funk?"

"Yeah. There's actually nothing going on in class," Lydia replied.

"Nothing? Then, you asked me to come just because you wanted to help me?"

"Yeah. Honestly we were all relieved when we found out you had a boyfriend yesterday. Well, we figured that he wouldn't let you out at night, so we asked you to come during the day. Everything seems fine with you now that you've gotten laid."

Leah was truly impressed, and she was both touched and amused. "If I'd known that this was the case, I wouldn't have come."

"Haha, if you didn't come, how would I have known you were all right?" Lydia laughed boisterously.

Leah laughed as well. She was truly touched to have so many good friends.

"Well, I'm touched that you care so much about me. Well, my boyfriend intends to treat us all to a meal and make us official. Would you guys come?"

"You're inviting us?" Lydia's interest was piqued.

"Yeah, you're right." Leah nodded.
