As Clinton sent Heinz home, he suppressed the urge to ask the question that was niggling at the back of his mind.

Heinz could tell that Clinton badly wanted to ask him something, so he said in a low voice, "If there's something you want to say, just say it."

Clinton was shocked. He did not expect Heinz to see through his thoughts. Even though it sounded like a stupid question, he still could not resist the urge to ask, "I have a question, but I'm not sure whether I should ask it or not."

"Didn't I tell you to say it? Why are you still hesitating?" Heinz repeated. "Lester and Alex were just like you. They had questions, but they dared not ask. They hesitated and dragged on and on like a woman."

Clinton felt embarrassed.

He had only worked with Heinz for a few years.

He thought for a while and asked, "President, there's something I just don't understand. Why should we help someone like Michael?"

Even though Clinton did everything according to Heinz's orders, he was still confused about the matter. Michael was neither a relative nor a friend. He was a nobody.

"You're still young. When you reach my age and have had many children and lived a happy life, you'll probably want to share your happiness with others," Heinz explained.

Many would probably not understand his way of thinking, but that was truly how Heinz felt.

He could also understand why some of the more distinguished businessmen did so much charitable work when they were older.

Clinton was stunned. He looked in the rearview mirror and thought he could see a glow radiating from Heinz's face.

Heinz's radiance seemed to move him.

He could not help but look at Heinz with admiration.

Heinz smiled and went on, "You might not understand what I'm saying, but when you're happy, you'll want everyone to be as happy as you are. You'll want to share your happiness."

Clinton did not understand the kind of happiness Heinz was talking about. However, he knew that the Jones family had been particularly caring of their employees in recent years, and had done a lot to improve their employees' welfare.

The company treated its employees well, and its business was booming. And it was thanks to Heinz's benevolence.

A person's character determined how far they would go in life.

Clinton smiled with embarrassment. "I think I understand. You're rescuing him."

Heinz laughed when he heard that. "Rescue? Well, perhaps you're right. That's what I'm doing."

Heinz looked out of the window, smiling.

He was feeling satisfied with his life and enjoying it to its fullest.

Clinton glanced at him and stopped talking.

When they were about to arrive, Heinz asked casually, "How are things going with Leah's sister and her childhood sweetheart?"

Clinton stiffened and almost stepped on the brakes.

Seeing how nervous he was, Heinz did not say anything else. He only glanced at him indifferently.

"P- President, how do you know about that?" Clinton stammered. When he came back to his senses, he explained immediately, "Mr. Ernest told me about it in secret, and I dared not tell you. I thought that I could handle it. And since he was the one who asked me to do it, I did not dare to say anything to you."

"I know your concerns," Heinz said indifferently. "But don't forget who's the one paying you your salary."

Clinton was stunned, understanding instantly. He replied in a low voice, "Yes, I know. I was wrong."

Heinz did not continue blaming Clinton and merely told him, "Since Ernest was the one who approached you, it must be important. He must not want anyone to know, especially me. So, just focus on helping him."

An honest man, Clinton immediately said respectfully, "Okay. I'll report to you immediately next time."

Heinz nodded and grunted in acknowledgment without saying anything else.

Clinton took a deep breath silently. He did not expect Heinz to know so much. It seemed as if nothing could escape from his notice.

"President, the childhood sweetheart of Miss Winston's younger sister is called Hogan. He has met Miss Winston a few times, but I've secretly investigated the matter and found that there's nothing going on between them. Miss Winston is very fond of Mr. Ernest," Clinton explained briefly.

Heinz nodded. "Go on."

"Mr. Ernest may have broken up with Miss Winston some time ago as they did not contact each other. Mr. Ernest also asked me to install security doors at the lobbies of all the apartment buildings nearby the law department's apartments for free. He paid all the expenses," Clinton continued, divulging everything as if he was being pressured.

Heinz could not help but laugh. "So, to pursue a girl, that brat actually did all that."

When Clinton saw Heinz laughing, he also laughed. "That's right. He also asked me to help Miss Winston's sister, Rowane, move out. She was treating Miss Winston badly, but she has turned over a new leaf. I was still worried and sent someone to follow her, but she really has changed."
