True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2067

After they left, Celeste seemed absent-minded as she walked, Gary had no idea what she was thinking.

He glanced at her and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Celeste suddenly came to her senses and blinked up at him. "Nothing much,"

"You're thinking about something. We're in the same boat here, so don't hide it from me." Gary thought that Celeste was frustrated over what happened with Janice.

Celeste paused when she heard this then she smiled bitterly. She said, "Aunt Grace asked me to visit Cindy."

"Visit her?" Gary frowned at that. "Mom must be really bored to find it in herself to be so forgiving."

"I think Aunt Grace has her own reasons for telling me to do so." Although Celeste didn't know what Grace intended, she figured that Grace had good intentions.

Gary frowned even more deeply at that. He asked Celeste, "What about you? Do you want to visit

her?"

Celeste nodded. "I was hesitant at first, but after what Aunt Grace said today, I promised to go visit Cindy."

"So, you want to go and see her?" Gary kept his eyes on Celeste, absolutely befuddled.

Celeste had been severely hurt by Cindy many times before, but now Grace was asking Celeste to visit Cindy? Wasn't that just asking for trouble?

Gary couldn't fathom what women were thinking.

He just felt that women were odd, confusing creatures.

Celeste pursed her lips and nodded. "Yeah, I think I want to go as well."

"If that's the case, then I'll go with you." Seeing that Celeste had decided to visit Cindy, Gary answered without hesitation, "We'll go after breakfast tomorrow morning, alright?"

"Don't you have anything on your schedule tomorrow?" Celeste asked.

"Nope." Gary's answer was immediate. "I can spend the whole day with you."

Celeste narrowed her eyes and said, "You don't have to do this. Just go do your thing."

"What's there to do?" Gary felt that life had lost much of its meaning after he lost Celeste.

Celeste felt upset at what Gary said.

What happened to both of them?

She thought of what Grace said today. She wasn't as forgiving as Grace, and she was a little bit ashamed of that.

She really hoped that she could be as accommodating as Grace, but she couldn't.

Pursing her lips, Celeste said again, "I heard you say that Yandrea's father is coming to Northern City, right?"

"Maybe, but I'm not obliged to accompany an old man on his visit," Gary replied.

Celeste hesitated, keeping silent.

The two of them stood outside in the courtyard. The weather was rather chilly, but both of them had put on their coats. Furthermore, Gary had lovingly put Celeste's gloves on for her.

He looked at Celeste for a moment before extending his arm to her, expecting her to hold it.

Celeste was stunned for a moment.

"Didn't you say we had to put on an act? Let's be more intimate." Gary's gaze was fixed on Celeste, and he spoke in a very low voice. "After all, we won't have many opportunities to do this anymore once we're back in Boston."

Celeste felt stabs of pain in her chest when she

heard that.

He was right. They would go their separate ways after they returned to Boston.

This was a peaceful breakup.

They didn't need to make a big fuss out of things.

Obviously, she did not need to spare Gary's dignity either.

For some reason, Celeste still felt that she was in the wrong.

It was as if she'd screwed up instead of Gary. That was what she thought sometimes.

Celeste smiled wryly at him before she took his arm.
