Sylvia was stunned again by Claudia's bold words. She stared at Claudia wordlessly for a long time, her jaw hanging wide enough to stuff an egg into her mouth.
"Come on. You don't have to look at me with that kind of expression." Claudia ran her fingers through her hair as she looked at Sylvia. She did not shy away from Sylvia's questioning gaze.
Sylvia was a little embarrassed. "How can you admit it so naturally?"
Claudia responded with a chuckle. "Why not? I've already told Sebastian I'm interested in him. What's more, he told me that he's not a kid. He's just my type, so how could I let him go?"
Sylvia had nothing to say in response.
She could only think that Claudia was a weird one.
Sylvia had always thought of herself as a little eccentric until she met Claudia.
"Did Sebastian really say that to you?" Sylvia was still a little skeptical as she had always known Sebastian as a man of a few words.
"It's the truth. You can ask Ernest about it as he was there too," Claudia answered.
"Oh my god!" Sylvia exclaimed. "There must be a reason for it. Otherwise, he wouldn't say something like that in front of Ernest."
"Of course." Claudia said, "Sometimes, you have to listen carefully to understand the meaning of one's words."
"So that's how it is," Sylvia mused. "I'm a little curious about that. You met all my brothers, but why Sebastian? Isn't Gary much better?"
"But none of them are as pure as Sebastian. He's the ideal man. Pure, young, inexperienced. Nothing like the other two," said Claudia.
"Pfffi"
Sylvia never expected to hear someone describe Sebastian that way.
She could not help bursting into laughter.
Claudia smiled proudly and said, "I don't care about men that are taken. I won't do something so shameless as to steal another woman's man. But, if someone sets their eyes on my man, I won't hesitate to fight them."
Sylvia laughed. An admiration for Claudia rose in her heart.
Sylvia thought that Claudia was adorable.
She was also very straightforward.
"I like you and your views of life," Sylvia said sincerely. "You have a one-of-a-kind attitude."
"So, do you want me to be your sister- in- law?" Claudia was smiling ear-to-ear.
Sylvia was stunned again. "Wait, why do I feel like you're tricking me into something?"
Claudia rolled her eyes. There was a glimmer in her gaze. "What trick?"
"So you would rather become my sister- in- law instead of me becoming your cousin- inlaw?" Sylvia was not a fool and saw through Claudia without difficulty.
Claudia laughed when she heard that. She slapped her thigh and said, "I didn't expect you to guess my thoughts. I admit that it is part of the reason.
"But I do have another reason, so it's like killing two birds with one stone.
"I truly did fall for Sebastian at first sight. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to achieve two things at once?"
Sylvia let out a long sigh. "Aren't you at least five years older than him?"
"That's right." Claudia nodded.
"The age gap is quite big. I wonder if my parents would accept it, let alone Sebastian himself.
Anyway, I wish you good luck," Sylvia said with another sigh.
Claudia was not worried at all. "I believe in making things happen. That's how it is. We set a goal, and we march towards it at all cost."
"But I think it is a little impossible with Sebastian," Sylvia cautioned.
"Indeed. Now that I think about it, it feels like it's easier for you to go after my cousin," said Claudia. Despite that, she remained optimistic.
Sylvia was a little worried. "So far, none of the male members of our family have a partner who is older than them. So that's why it would be a little difficult for you. I hope you won't get too hurt and come to me crying."
"Aren't you going to help me?" Claudia asked.
"Before I help you, I'll have to see whether Sebastian has feelings for you too. I wouldn't want to force him."
"You have such strong principles," Claudia said, a little disappointed. She looked at Sylvia and added, "But I'm going to help you. Won't you do the same for me? Aren't you afraid of ruining our relationship?"
"Of course! But I don't want to have a guilty conscience," Sylvia explained. "How about this? If I notice that he has even the slightest interest in
you, I'll help you. Okay?"
Claudia burst out laughing. "All right. In exchange, I'll give my cousin a call now to sound him out."
"What?" As soon as Sylvia heard that Claudia was going to call Kendrix, she immediately became nervous. It was as if she was sitting on pins and needles, and she did not know what to do.
Claudia found it a little funny when she saw Sylvia like that. "Don't be so nervous. Kendrix is a human, not some tiger who bites. Why so nervous?"
"I'm nervous and excited," Sylvia replied.
"Look at how timid you are." Claudia tried to cheer her on by saying, "Cheer up, and don't be so cowardly."
"Well, I admit that I'm only afraid of him but no one else. I am a proud person, after all." Sylvia raised her head high and sat up straight.
Claudia glanced at Sylvia and said, "Don't push yourself. You still have to put in some work into your body's development. Why not try drinking milk every day?"
Sylvia lowered her head and looked at her chest, feeling a little speechless.
When would Sylvia look more mature? Sylvia wondered.
"Don't be so anxious. It'll happen sooner or later," Claudia said reassuringly. "I think a man like Kendrix would still prefer his woman a little curvier."
Sylvia's face fell, and her shoulders drooped.
