"Save your sweet talks; I know what I'm like." Grace looked at her husband. "The babies are due in a few months. I wonder if Celeste and Gary will finally have their happily ever after."
"I have a feeling nothing will come between them after this experience." Heinz comforted his wife. "After all, Celeste came back on her own this time. You know how strong of an ego she has. Her return only proves her love for Gary; there's no doubt about it. We don't need to worry about them at all."
"I was quite surprised about that, actually." Grace nodded. "Ernest and Leah seem to be doing well too. Sylvia's the one I'm most worried about now."
Heinz shook his head at the mention of their daughter. "I actually think Sebastian is the more worrying one."
"Sebastian?" Grace was taken aback. "Why? Isn't Sebastian our best-behaved one?"
She thought her third son was their sweetest child.
It seemed that Grace didn't notice their son's behavioral shift lately. Heinz was a little annoyed at himself for bringing it up and not keeping it to himself.
He smiled and said, "Yeah, he is. Actually, it's nothing."
"No." Grace immediately sat upright and looked at Heinz, taking the conversation seriously at this point. "Something must be up for you to say that. You've noticed something, haven't you? I've been a little tired these days, especially with the New Year's and all, so I didn't take notice of his situation."
"No, I just think he's becoming more emotional with his puberty hitting." Heinz explained, "Nothing to worry about. He just seems to have a bit more of a temper than before."
"Is that so?" Grace tried recalling and realized Heinz was right. "Now that you've mentioned it, I remembered he was quite rude to Kendrix's cousin when she came over for dinner the other day. He was never like this; do you really think he's going through a rebellious stage?"
"Perhaps." Heinz didn't want his wife to worry too much. If anything, it wasn't major, to begin with, just that he noticed Sebastian seemed to have a lot more worries these days.
He regretted bringing it up so bluntly, letting his wife worry.
"Well, you should talk to him later, try and find out how he's doing. You should care more about him." At that, she shook her head at once. "I should do it myself."
"I'll do it. You just sit back and relax." Heinz said, "I have all the time now; I'll have a good talk with him."
Grace looked at him, doubtful, "Can you really talk to him patiently? I'm certain you've given Sylvia all your patience."
"How can you say that? I've given all of my patience to you." Heinz smiled, blinking.
Flushing, Grace gave his hand a light slap. "Okay, I admit you've always been very good to me."
"Of course." Heinz hugged his wife and kissed her forehead. "You are my honey bunch sugar pie."
"Heinz, you're well over forty already. Don't say any more of this cheesy stuff."
"Aw, is someone shy?" Heinz laughed.
Grace buried her face in his neck and said, "You are."
"Yeah, I'm the one; our whole family is." Heinz didn't argue with his wife, admitting it wholly.
Grace frowned. The whole family, didn't that include herself?
Heinz was getting more and more perfunctory.
However, she felt happy and sweet from the bottom of her heart, for he was really gentle to her.
After sending the trio off, Ernest took Leah to her apartment.
When he called Grace to give her an update, Grace asked him, "And Sebastian and Sylvia?"
"We bumped into Claudia at the airport. Sylvia was thrilled about it and said she wanted to go shopping with her. I was worried the girls wouldn't be safe on their own, so I had Sebastian follow them."
"Huh, what a coincidence you guys bumped into her."
"I know, right?" Ernest said, "Don't worry, Sylvia has been studying hard lately. I didn't stop her since she was suddenly in the mood to shop. Clinton's following them as well; he knows what to do."
"Alright, I know." Grace wasn't worried, seeing how well Ernest arranged everything.
At the commercial street of the city center.
Sylvia and Claudia walked hand in hand along the busy commercial street while Sebastian followed impatiently from behind.
Claudia would look over her shoulder at the boy behind her every now and then.
Sebastian's face turned even more expressionless and cold.
