"If you say so." Chigo looked at Claudia with a cryptic gaze before turning back to Sylvia with a hint of playfulness in his eyes.
Sylvia thought his gaze was too profound, and she fell silent, frowning.
Looking at the two with interest, Claudia could tell Chigo was into Sylvia.
The girl sure was a stunner.
Claudia still didn't know how things were going with Kendrix. But seeing he had such a strong romantic rival, she couldn't help feeling worried for her cousin.
She wondered if he could still remain calm and indifferent if he knew of Chigo's existence.
"Chigo, this is Mr. Trevino's cousin, Claudia." Sebastian introduced.
Shocked, Claudia looked over at Sebastian in confusion.
If Sebastian introduced her as Kendrix's cousin, it meant that Chigo knew of Kendrix's existence, didn't it?
If that was the case, things would get tricky.
Turning back to Chigo, she noticed he was looking at her with a smile, and there was a hint of smile buried deep beneath his eyes.
His handsome face was one of calmness as if there was nothing wrong. However, Claudia could feel a menacing intent surging within his gaze.
With a slightly quirked brow, she stared right at Chigo.
Chigo smiled and said, "Oh, so you're Mr. Trevino's cousin."
"You happen to know Kendrix, Mr. Robinson?" Claudia retorted with a smile; her eyes never left Chigo's.
She wanted to find the sense of hostility in Chigo's eyes, but there wasn't any.
Even though his gaze was menacing, evident still no matter how he tried to suppress it, it wasn't hostility.
"Oh, I do," Chigo said, "I got to know him by chance. He's an outstanding man, no doubt about that; I didn't expect his cousin to be the same."
"You flatter me, Mr. Robinson," Claudia smiled and said modestly.
"You're being too modest, Miss Loris," Chigo said, "You're a top-notch beauty." "Thank you," Claudia smiled and said, "It is an honor to be called beautiful; you satisfy my vanity. However, I'd rather be praised for what's on the inside."
"And I can tell, with that, you have a great personality," Chigo gave a flawless reply, "So it's no exaggeration to say you're just as outstanding as your cousin."
Quirking her brows, Claudia wasn't too surprised but growing worried.
This man was no less inferior to Kendrix at all.
He was sharp, modest, handsome, and a conversationalist, far better than her introverted cousin.
A person like him was more likely to win a girl's heart.
Taking a gander at Sylvia, she turned back to Chigo and said, "Though I'm happy to be praised, I still have to say, I know how good I am, and I'm not being modest, just afraid that someone can't see the good in me."
She gave Sebastian a cryptic glance as she said so.
Chigo could sense an unusual atmosphere at once from that look.
And he followed her line of sight.
Sebastian frowned, and a look of displeasure flashed across his handsome face.
Claudia blinked, then smiled, looking straight into Sebastian's eyes, challenging him.
