True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2212

Sylvia stood in front of Kendrix's apartment, holding two big bags of delicious food. Her palms were sweaty.

Even though it was still winter and the weather was cold, her palms were sweating.

Since her visit was a sudden decision, she had not had the chance to call Kendrix and inform him. Hence, she did not know if Kendrix would be angry or not.

She hesitated when she thought that he might be unhappy.

After all, she had come uninvited.

She was behaving rather recklessly by visiting him so suddenly.

However, if she did not decide on impulse, she would probably be unable to muster the courage to visit Kendrix.

She was concerned that he would be too tired to even have time for breakfast. Hence, she decided to send him some food.

She knocked on the door and waited uneasily.

After a while, she thought she heard a sound coming from inside the apartment, which only made her feel more nervous.

She continued to wait until finally, the door opened.

Kendrix opened the door. The frown on his face turned to surprise when he saw Sylvia standing in front of him. After that, joy flashed across his eyes.

Sylvia gazed at his tall figure, noticing that he was wearing a grey jacket. Although he was dressed casually, he still exuded a domineering presence.

She pursed her lips and smiled. "Hi, am I disturbing you?"

Kendrix shook his head. He reached out and took the bags in her hand, then stepped aside to let her in.

He did not say anything at all and merely stared at her.

Sylvia walked into the apartment, still feeling uneasy.

Kendrix closed the door and placed the bags on the table in the room. After that, he turned to look at Sylvia.

He looked at her carefully, sizing her up.

She was wearing a cropped white down jacket and skinny jeans, which showed off her straight and slender legs.

Kendrix's eyes darkened, and he quickly walked over to Sylvia.

Sylvia pressed her lips together, looking at Kendrix helplessly. She stared at his handsome face, looking deep into his eyes, which were completely red.

Unable to control herself anymore, she stepped closer to him and asked with concern, "Your eyes are completely red. Haven't you slept at all?"

Seeing how concerned she was, his pupils contracted a few times. Kendrix reached out and pulled her toward him.

Pulled into Kendrix's embrace, she felt him hugging her tightly.

Her heart was pounding wildly.

"A-Aren't you sleepy?" Sylvia was left completely speechless.

Kendrix held her in his arms, and they stayed in that position for some time.

She could smell a faint, minty scent. It was the scent of Kendrix's body shampoo.

Kendrix really liked to use that sort of scented body shampoo. She breathed in the faint smell of the minty fragrance, and it seemed to refresh her mind.

It was the smell he liked, and she liked it very much too.

He continued to hug Sylvia quietly without moving.

He took a deep breath and tried to breathe in her scent as if to confirm she was real and not a figment of his imagination.

He told himself that it was probably not a dream. She was really there in front of him.

It warmed the cockles of his heart to be able to really hug Sylvia.

He hugged her tightly. Sylvia could feel his heartbeat, and it seemed to be getting faster and faster.

Was Kendrix really that nervous? Sylvia wondered.

She was stunned, and her jaw dropped open slightly. No way! Sylvia thought to herself.

"What about you? You came here so early. Didn't you sleep well?" Kendrix finally replied, an irrepressible tremor in his voice.

Sylvia was stunned. She blinked her eyes and said, "I slept well, but it looks like you didn't."

"I didn't sleep. After I sent the document, I went to take a shower. I was about to go to sleep when you came," said Kendrix.
