Kendrix slept for more than two hours and actually had some sound sleep.
He wasn't the type to sleep soundly.
It was difficult for him to have good, quality sleep. Usually, he would only fall asleep if he was extremely tired.
Even if he was asleep, he would suddenly wake up from his sleep in the middle of the night. He had never slept until dawn before.
However, he actually managed to sleep for around three hours this time round.
Kendrix was holding something soft and warm in his arms. The warmth emitting from it was soft to the touch. Once he opened his eyes, he took a deep and sharp breath.
A ball of warmth and adorableness was sitting in his arms.
Sylvia's beautiful face immediately came into sight. Her features were as delicate as a fairy, and her silky hair was spread out on top of the pillow.
She was snuggled up comfortably against his chest, her hair glimmering under the rays of the morning sun. Her collarbones as well as her wonderful blossoms were vaguely visible.
She had fallen asleep too.
However, Sylvia's sleeping posture was stiff. It seemed like she had been trying to maintain the same posture for a long time.
Kendrix was a little taken aback. Was she afraid of waking him up? Was that why she had maintained the same position without moving for a long time?
The answer was quite obvious.
The closer he looked, the more he knew that it was probably the case.
It seemed like she had been maintaining the same position for a long time.
He looked at his watch and realized that almost three hours had passed.
Kendrix did not expect to sleep for so long.
When he looked down at the girl in his arms once more, he only felt more moved.
He lowered his head and kissed Sylvia's forehead, his every action soft and gentle.
Meanwhile, Sylvia didn't really sleep well despite being extremely tired.
She jolted awake the minute Kendrix's lips landed on her forehead.
The moment she looked up, she was immediately met with Kendrix's intense gaze.
She immediately panicked at the blazing fire underneath his eyes.
In the midst of her panic, Sylvia asked, "Yo-you're awake?"
Kendrix could hear her trembling voice.
"Yes," He nodded. He held her shoulder with one hand, while the other found its way to her waist. He asked, "Aren't you tired after staying in the same position for so long? C'mon, make yourself comfortable here."
Sylvia was momentarily stunned. She did not expect Kendrix to know that she had stayed in the same position the entire time.
She smiled awkwardly, feeling a little embarrassed. She felt so pathetic that she could not help but blush.
Kendrix smiled and helped her shift into a different position.
Nevertheless, Sylvia didn't expect to feel numb after staying in the same position for too long. The minute she moved, the numbness would spread to her limbs, making her gasp involuntarily.
Her sharp breaths could be heard.
"What happened? Can't you move?" Kendrix's voice was filled with worry and he did not dare to move her anymore.
He looked at Sylvia carefully and found out that she was grimacing in pain. He immediately understood that her body was probably numb.
How could she be so silly?
It was adorable.
Kendrix's movements softened and he did not know where to start. Hence, he could only tell her gently, "Try to move a little bit. You can lie down first if you want to."
Following that, Kendrix helped Sylvia turn around, but she immediately frowned.
"Is it numb?" Kendrix asked in concern.
Sylvia did not say anything. She was still frowning and she seemed to be in great pain.
Kendrix felt that it might still take her a few more minutes to recover.
He carefully observed her for a while and found that both her shoulders and legs were still. Kendrix immediately got up and helped Sylvia massage her shoulders and legs.
