True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2262

While waiting for the cake to be ready, Claudia felt that she had to find a way to inform Kendrix and Sylvia about what was happening. She could not just sit back and wait.

She briefly glanced over at Sebastian. It was obvious that he wanted to go with her to see if Sylvia had been taken advantage of.

Sebastian seemed like a good brother who was very protective of Sylvia, which was really unexpected.

Claudia wasn't ignorant. She had to make sense of everything. She could not give Sebastian a chance to call her bluff. She had to ensure that Sylvia and Kendrix would not be caught either.

She felt that she was acting as an undercover at the moment.

Perhaps in the future, she could be an undercover in the police force.

Claudia was trying to cheer herself up as she thought of that.

However, how could she inform Sylvia and Kendrix without Sebastian finding out?

Claudia took out her cell phone while waiting for the cake. She was ready to ignore Sebastian. The most important thing was to text Sylvia and Kendrix.

Unexpectedly, just as she took out her cell phone, and before she even opened her WhatsApp, she heard Sebastian said, "What? Are you going to send them a text to give them a head's up?"

Claudia's heart skipped a beat. She instantly felt guilty.

How could he guess what she was planning on doing?

He was very smart indeed.

Claudia narrowed her eyes and glanced at Sebastian who was sitting opposite of her. He was not far from her, and he was staring at her with a pair of gloomy eyes.

Judging by her expression, Sebastian was sure that she was planning on sending them a text.

That was right. She wanted to give them a head's up.

Unfortunately, she had been exposed.

Naturally, Claudia would not admit it.

She held her cell phone, looked down, and smiled. "Sebastian, is it wrong for me to check my WhatsApp messages? You're very funny for saying that I'm trying to give them a heads up. Who do you think I am?"

"You, yourself, should be clear of your own intentions, shouldn't you? I don't have to say anything about how I view you." Sebastian stared at her with a poker face.

"Oh." Claudia shrugged. "Well, if that's the case, since you're so sure of it, then yes, I was planning on texting Sylvia. There's no point in denying it anyway."

"Put away your phone." Sebastian ordered in a deep voice.

Claudia frowned. His commanding tone made her very uncomfortable.

Her stubbornness started to show too.

"Why should I listen to you?" Claudia chuckled. "Who do you think you are? I don't take orders from you."

"Now I'm starting to wonder what kind of people my sister surrounds herself with. I'm afraid I need to look into it. You're obviously not an honest person. I'm worried that you'll lead my sister astray," Sebastian said unhurriedly.

Claudia took a deep breath and said, "Hey, don't go too far! I think you're the one who has a problem. I'm sure your sister has the ability to distinguish right from wrong. How dare you insult me? You can't blame me for not wanting to take you back to my place."

"You're just mad that I called you out, right?" Sebastian sneered. He looked at Claudia as if he had seen through her tricks long ago.

It was the kind of gaze that made one feel as if there was nowhere to hide. Claudia became even more annoyed.

Claudia took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. She was trying hard not to get mad, as it would only be a punishment on herself, while it was others who were at fault. She still kept her composure, remembering her manners.

"Sebastian, I think I have the right to decide whether I should take you home. I can reject you. Also, after you maliciously slandered me, I doubt we can even be friends. If it weren't because you are Sylvia's brother, I probably would have slapped you across the face already." Claudia looked into his eyes and said coldly, "I am human. I have a temper. The more others want to go against me, the more I will not let them have their way."

She said it casually, but her determination was unquestionable.

Sebastian of course could tell by her tone.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at Claudia. The corners of his lips curled up in a mocking expression. "What a coincidence. Looks like we are the same kind. The more others want to hide something from me, the more I curious I get."

Claudia was stunned. She was almost choking on her rage. Was he determined in going against her?

She was speechless.

Could he stop being so annoying?
