True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 227

"What?" Hermione exclaimed in pleasant surprise. She was on cloud nine and the joy in her gaze could not be concealed. On the other hand, Grace had to conceal her real feelings on the matter after seeing how joyful Hermione was.

She did not want Hermione to be disappointed, but she didn't want Heinz to invest in this company just because of her either.

She really hadn't expected Heinz to say so.

She felt helpless when she saw Hermione looking at her happily.

"Grace, Mr. Jones loves you so much! He even treats me so well because of you!" she exclaimed exuberantly.

Grace forced a smile. "I'm sorry, chief editor, but I want to have a word with Mr. Jones in private. Could you please excuse us?"

Hermione was stunned. She understood Grace's feelings and nodded. "Sure. I'll leave you two alone so you can talk."

"I'm sorry, chief editor."

Hermione shook her head. "It's fine, I understand. Grace, you don't have to feel pressured. I want you to know that whatever decision you make, I'll support you."

"Thank you." Grace was really touched.

"Don't feel pressured." Hermione promptly left the

room.

It was only then that Grace looked at Heinz. She just couldn't read what he was thinking, so she opened her mouth and asked, "You said that you'd invest in this company because of me. What do you mean by that?"

She really didn't want this to happen.

Heinz didn't have to invest in this company to please her.

He looked at her carefully. This time, he could deeply feel Grace's sensitivity to the subject.

"Heinz, I really hope you can separate your personal and professional life. This is good for both of us." Grace said.

"Grace, I have good intentions."

"If you are going to be like that, both of us will be burnt out." She really didn't want this to happen.

Heinz looked at her and said, "I'm not tired."

"You're not tired but I am!" she exclaimed. "Indeed, if you are like this, I'll have to endure a great psychological burden. If this isn't your strategic consideration, you don't need to invest in this company because of me."

"Why are you so tensed up? Is this such a big deal?" He asked in a deep voice.

She nodded and answered, "Yup, this is a great burden for me. Also, things will get messy if we're not in a relationship in the future." Her voice was low.

He frowned at her answer. "Have you ever thought

of leaving me?"

Grace was stunned, but she nodded her head and replied, "Nobody knows what will happen in the future."

Heinz narrowed his eyes and looked at her coldly. After a long while, he questioned her, "Grace, how can you have such a thought?"

"I don't want to rely on others."

"Okay, let me rephrase. I've decided to invest in this company and it has nothing to do with you." Heinz said.

"How can I believe you?"

"What else do you want me to do then? Do you want me to go back on my word?" He quirked his eyebrow as he asked in a low tone.

"Does the way you treated Simon Brown and Marry the last time not count as going back on your word?" Grace asked him.

"They insulted you! How could I cooperate with them?" He frowned at her incredulously.

Grace replied, "Yes, I knew that you were doing it for me again."

"I don't regret it. Their personalities are so bad. They always want to take advantage of you, so why should I cooperate with them?" Heinz said in a deep voice.

"But, I don't want you to invest in this company for me. I don't want to owe you anything." Grace retorted.

"Why can't I do so? You're my girlfriend. You're loyal to me as well." "Then, let me ask you, could you tolerate me doing something that you don't like by saying that I'm doing it for your own good?"

Heinz was stunned. He couldn't answer.

Grace knew that he needed to calm down and put himself in her shoes.
