True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 228

Grace paused for a while. She'd thought Heinz had left, and hadn't expected him to say these words to Hermione.

She didn't know what she should do. After thinking for a while, she said to Hermione, "Chief editor, I'm not going."

The chief editor smiled at her. "Grace, are you worried that I'll blame you for always leaving the office during working hours?"

Grace was embarrassed. In the end, she nodded her head.

It was irresponsible to leave the office so frequently during working hours.

She felt that it was inappropriate for her to do so.

She just wanted to abide by the company rules and regulations.

Grace said, "I'm not going out. I think he'll understand. He'll respect my decision as well."

Heinz was also the president of a company. Grace had no doubt that he did not want his employees to behave like this either.

After much consideration, Grace made up her mind not to go out to see Heinz.

Hermione nodded. "Well, if a woman doesn't have her own personality, her man won't treat her well."

Upon hearing this, Grace looked at her.

"However, I think you'd better send him a message. After all, a man's ego is very important to them and needs to be protected," Hermione reminded her.

"Okay." Grace thought that this was a valuable reminder.

She agreed with a nod. "I'll send him a message now."

Outside the newspaper office.

Heinz was sitting in his car. He had almost finished smoking a cigarette while waiting for Grace. Maybe Grace would come out.

And maybe she would not come out.

All of a sudden, his mobile phone vibrated. His heart skipped a beat, it was at the moment that he knew Grace was not coming out.

He looked at his mobile phone and saw a text message.

"Heinz, please go back now. I'll treat you to dinner later, okay? I'll spend time with you from five o'clock to nine o'clock."

He looked at the mobile phone in a daze. His facial expression had softened.

He'd finally started to understand her.

She would not cross the line. She would live by her own principles and would persevere on what she wanted to do. No one could force her to do anything she did not want to do.

She was a person of character.

Heinz sent a text message to Grace by replying, "Okay, let's catch a movie tonight."

When she received the message, Grace felt an inexplicable sense of happiness well up inside her.

She felt that she was being cared for and respected by Heinz sincerely.

Grace smiled and put down her mobile phone.

She started working immediately.

At around ten o'clock, after Heinz had left, a few people came to the newspaper office. They were there specifically for Grace.

"Which one of you is Grace?" A woman asked in a sharp voice.

Everyone in the newspaper office was taken aback. They looked over and saw around six people rushing into the office.

Grace noticed that the person in the lead was a woman. She was dressed in a professional suit. She was a well-groomed lady and did not seem to be a simple woman at all.

She had thin arched eyebrows. It seemed that she was not an easy-going person.

Grace was sure that she was the one who had just spoken.

"Who are you? Is there something wrong?" Chuck Dorris, who was at the entrance, asked them.

"Where's Grace?" The woman yelled in a deep voice, "I'm looking for Grace to settle a score with her. The rest of you, just mind your own business and don't interfere ! "
