Upon hearing Gary's words, Alice instantly flared up and shouted to Jensen, "Why do you have to announce it to everyone?"

Judging from her reaction, Jensen felt that she had no intention to be related with him in any way. She was only forced to make a compromise.

He said forlornly, "Little Gary is a member of this family. I was just telling him out of respect."

"Yes," Little Gary nodded immediately, acting as if he and Jensen had known each other for a long time.

Alice pursed her lips and glared at Jensen.

Grace chided in and said, "Good news should be made known to us."

"Yeah, they are right. I know you're just being shy, Little Aunt. But you don't have to because we're family," Little Gary said again.

Alice lifted her hands up and said, "Okay, I surrender. Let's eat. No one is allowed to talk."

"Let's eat."

Jensen had a satisfying meal at Grace's home. It was a quiet and peaceful dinner.

After he finished eating, he felt that it was time to leave.

Grace said, "Alice, you should see Officer Charm off."

"He can leave on his own." Obviously, Alice was reluctant to see him off. "I'll go wash the dishes."

"Let me help you. I'll leave after doing the dishes," Jensen volunteered. "That's it. I'll do it."

He then rolled his sleeves up and started washing the dishes.

The table was also cleaned up.

There was a helpless look on Alice's face.

Grace smiled and said, "Not all men are willing to help with chores, Alice. Just try it out with him, will you? I hope you can be happy."

"Grace," Alice nodded. "I understand."

"Then there's no need for you to worry too much." Grace said, "Only if you try it out you'll know whether he is a match for you."

"Okay," Alice nodded.

Not long after, Jensen was done with the dishes. Even the floor of the kitchen was wiped clean.

He stepped out of the kitchen with a bag of trash in his hand and said, "It's all cleaned up. I'll come over again tomorrow."

"Sure, you're always welcomed," Grace said with a smile.

"No you're not welcomed," Alice protested.

"I welcome you too. So it's two to one. Little Aunt, you'll have to admit defeat this round," Little Gary added timely.

"Okay, thank you for the meal." Feeling glad, Jensen headed to the door.

Alice gritted her teeth and said, 'TH see you off." She really went there.

When they were at the elevator, she gnashed her teeth and warned, "You'd better keep your promise. Or I won't let you go."

"Don't worry. I don't want to be cursed. I wouldn't want you to be miserable for the rest of your life," he said.

"Just get out of here now." Alice was blushing.

Jensen let out a cough, cleared his throat and said softly, "Okay, get back in. You shouldn't be out this late."

Ignoring him, Alice turned around and got back in.

Jensen could feel that it would take some time to melt her seemingly cold heart.

He must make his best effort.

On his way back, Jensen made a call to Heinz.

He was not picking up.

He called again but still he didn't answer.

Needless to say, Jensen knew the reason.
