True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 308

Grace looked at Hermione in surprise. "Hermione, why are you taking his side?"

"No, don't get me wrong.” Hermione immediately waved a hand and said, "Actually, I don't really want to lobby for him. I just want you to be happy. As someone with experience, I can tell that both of you have feelings for each other."

Grace was stunned by what she said. She pursed her lips and looked at Hermione in confusion.

"I'm not trying to lobby for Heinz." Hermione explained with a smile, "I just think that you shouldn't reject him outright. Maybe you can try it out. What if he is the man you need in your life?"

"No." Grace shook her head. "I don't even know what kind of man I want in my life. Maybe I've never really loved someone wholeheartedly."

"Perhaps I've never fallen deeply in love with him. In other words, we've never truly loved each other."

"How long has it been?” Hermione asked, chuckling. As she had experienced such, she explained "Some relationships, even if they last for just three days, are filled with so much passion and emotion. But for some, you wouldn't even see that when they have lasted a lifetime."

"When a man and a woman get together, apart from hormones and emotions, it's important to see if a couple can support each other for a lifetime. The starting point doesn't define the relationship. It's

defined by what happens in the long run.”

Grace nodded. "I admit what you said makes sense, but I really don't intend to consider Heinz anymore. I feel traumatized.”

She didn't want herself to get hurt and be miserable.

Now, she was calm because she could move on. Once she became unable to move on, she wouldn't survive it.

She was afraid that if Heinz did something like this again, she would not be able to take it.

"Grace, Lorenzo's trial is scheduled for next week," Hermione said, suddenly changing the subject.

Grace was stunned. "I haven't received any news yet."

"That's because Heinz shielded you from everything. Heinz, Jensen, and Jones Estate's legal team are helping you." Hermione said, "To be honest, without Heinz, you wouldn't be able to handle the smaller challenges, let alone a lawsuit."

Grace looked at her and was a little surprised. "I didn't know about this."

She knew that Heinz helped her initially, and the matter was settled. However, she forgot that she was the victim, and Lorenzo's lawsuit was still ongoing.

"Think about it. If Heinz doesn't like you, would he have taught Lorenzo a lesson?" Hermione asked her with a smile.

Grace's heart clenched. She pursed her lips and said, "Hermione, I'm sorry about this."

"You don't have to apologize to me." Hermione said, "I don't need Lorenzo anymore. To be honest, I don't have feelings for him anymore. After all these years, my heart has grown cold. Our marriage has grown cold. How would I have feelings for him?"

Grace couldn't imagine the suffering Hermione had been through.

She only felt that her life must have been really terrible.

If they didn't even live together, could they even be considered husband and wife?

"Grace," Hermione said gently, "You consider me your sister, and I've never regarded you as an outsider. I really think you should ponder on it. Don't make a hasty decision. If you feel upset about it, just drag it for a few days and let your anger blow over. Don't just close the door on him."

Grace was speechless.

She really hadn't thought about it that way.

"If someone were to destroy a man who hurt me, I will marry him and accept whatever shortcomings he has." Hermione said with a sigh, "A woman at my age can think like that, but you young people may not share the same ideals."
