"You are the best version of yourself," Jensen said while holding her face in both hands. "In future, I won't allow you to slander yourself. You are not allowed to do that, understand?"

"I want to help you," she said. She couldn't remain guarded against that man. "Jensen, even though I couldn't successfully do it with you, I think there may be other ways."

"By the way, are you free this afternoon?" Alice asked.

"I have a meeting at two o'clock at the police

station," he replied.

Alice paused for a second and said, "Then, can I stay here?"

"Of course, you can," Jensen said in surprise. He wished that she would stay with him every day.

But on second thought, he felt that Grace might worry about her.

"What if your sister is worried about you?" Jensen asked.

"I'll give her a phone call," Alice said. "Let me call her now. Where's my phone?"

"It's outside the room. I'll get it for you," Jensen replied and got up to go outside.

After a while, he brought her mobile phone into the room.

"I'll make you some noodles. Go ahead and call your sister," Jensen said.

"Okay," she replied.

When Jensen went to the kitchen, Alice called Grace.

At the Emerald Apartment.

Right after Grace had peeled some apples for the children, the phone rang.

At that moment, Heinz entered the kitchen.

Grace passed the plate of fruits to him and said, "Take this out. Alice is calling me. I'll pick up the call."

"Okay," Heinz replied and took the plate out. Then, he put it on the table and asked the two little guys to

eat the fruits.

Grace answered the phone call and walked towards the room.
