"When you were talking about the excitement dying!" accused Heinz. His eyes were accusing as he said, "Grace, do you plan to ignore me once the excitement dies?"

Grace's mouth was wide open. She thought, "Did he hear wrongly?"

Heinz hugged her and asked, "Are you tired of playing with me?"

Shocked, Grace repeated, "Playing with you?"

"Yes, I overheard your conversation with Alice earlier. You said that once the excitement is over, you will stop paying attention to me," Heinz repeated what he had overheard to Grace. "What else can you say to defend yourself?"

Grace widened her eyes and said after a while, "I have nothing to say."

When he heard her answer, Heinz instantly felt disappointed. He hooked his arms around her waist and sat on the bed. He pulled her to sit on his lap.

Grace was trapped by him and couldn't move at all. She could only look at Heinz helplessly as she asked, "What are you doing?"

"Grace." Heinz said solemnly, "Look, we have a son. We have everything we need right now. What do you think we still lack?"

Grace glanced at him in confusion.

"Answer me," he said while trying to guide her train

of thoughts.

"I don't know," replied Grace, who had no idea what he really wanted to say. "I'm lacking in many areas."

"What do you lack?" Heinz raised his eyebrows and asked.

"I lack a lot," Grace said regretfully. "Forget it. You won't understand."

"Please tell me," he insisted. He really wanted to understand her.

Heinz kept feeling that though they had reconciled, Grace still seemed to be laden with anxiety.

He could feel that she did not feel secure.

"Tell me," Heinz reached out and gently held Grace's chin so that she would look into his eyes. "Grace, tell me, what do you want to do?"

"I just want to stay healthy," Grace said while pulling away from his hand, "And live my life to the fullest."

When Heinz heard these words, he felt that she was being insincere.

Although her answer was very realistic, he felt that it was too general.

He frowned and said, "Grace, I want to marry you."

Grace was dumbfounded.

He stared into her eyes and said, "We already have a child. Let's get married."

Grace couldn't calm the storm that was brewing in her heart. Her feelings spiralled out of control.

Get married? she thought to herself.

How could he suggest that so casually?

Grace remained silent for a long time.

Heinz continued to hug her in that way. He rested his hand on her slender waist and gently touched her.

Grace stood up.

With his legs, Heinz clamped Grace to stop her from leaving.

He asked, "Do you not want to marry me?"

Grace nodded and said, "Yeah, that is not part of my consideration now."

"What else do you need to consider?" He blinked his eyes and asked. He wanted to settle down with Grace as soon as possible. His feeling of wanting to settle down at the moment was not something that he had ever felt before.

"As I said before, we might not be compatible with each other." Grace looked at Heinz and said, "I agree to give our relationship a try, but Heinz, we haven't had much time to interact with each other. If I were still an inexperienced girl and if I had yet to give birth to Little Gary, I would probably be very happy to hear this."

Heinz looked at her with surprise in his eyes.

"But now, after going through so much, I really feel that marriage would become a responsibility I need to bear. I need to be more mature and rational," Grace added. "Please respect me and yourself."

"I don't want it to be done on an impulse," she continued. "I hope that we can get along with each other well and naturally. Only then, we can really be together."

"Regardless of what happens, we need to be rational. Both of us need to consider this matter carefully," Grace finished her words.
