"You mean you don't know where her ashes were taken to?" Lawrence focused on this as what he cared about most was the whereabouts of Candace's ashes.

'Yes, I don't know where her ashes were taken to," answered the other party over the phone in a flat tone. After a slight adjustment of his tone, he asked, "Mr. Jones, when are you going to pay us? We still have families to raise and feed. How do you expect us to live without food?"

"I don't have the money to pay you guys at the moment. Just hang on a little, I'll surely pay you guys once I have the money."

"Mr. Jones, you've been owing us a few months' worth of salary, and all this while, you keep repeating that you'll pay us once you have the money. Heinz was startled as well as he stared at Little Gary without saying anything.

Lowell didn't even look up when he said, "Grace, Heinz, I'll go back to my room first."

"Lowell, come out for a meal after you've showered and freshened up," Grace called out.

"Okay." He nodded and left with red eyes.

Little Gary frowned when he noticed that he was being ignored by everyone, "All of you look so down, why else would a pregnant woman like Mommy leave the house if it wasn't for my irresponsible grandma having passed away?"

Grace looked at him again, "Yes, your grandma just passed away."

"Oh!" Little Gary shrugged and answered, "I'm sorry for your loss, Mommy."

"Mommy, did Grandma really pass away?" Ernest was surprised as well.

"Yes." She did not attempt to hide anything. "It's been 3 days now. She was just cremated."

Little Gary sighed, "She passed away so quickly. It looks like God treated her well after all."

Grace frowned at him. "How could you say such a thing?"
