"Are you at the dorm right now? I've been trying to reach Tiffany, but her phone's off. I'm starting to get worried. Could you do me a favor and see if she's there?"
Brianna was always eager to please Kelly, so she jumped at the chance. "I was just heading back there! Give me five minutes, Ms. Harrison."
"Sure, no rush," Kelly said, her voice deceptively casual.
But as soon as she hung up, she started pacing back and forth in the living room.
Five minutes passed quickly.
Just as Kelly was about to call again, her phone rang with a call from Brianna.
"Ms. Harrison, I checked. Tiffany's not here, and it looks like her bed hasn't been touched; she probably didn't come back last night."
A cold dread settled in Kelly's stomach. "Thanks, Brianna." That was all she managed to say as her fingers tightened on the phone.
Just as she was about to hang up, Brianna stopped her. "Ms. Harrison, you're looking for Tiffany so early… Could it be that Mr. Lewis didn't come home either?"
The blunt question pierced Kelly's carefully constructed facade. Her voice turned icy. "Brianna, don't spread rumors at work."
"Oh, I wouldn't! I'm just worried about you. After all, I know Tiffany best. If she uses her tricks to seduce Mr. Lewis, I doubt he will be able to resist."
Kelly forced a scoff. "She's not capable of that!"
Brianna countered, "I thought the same because Tiffany is so good at pretending, always appearing innocent and non-confrontational. I trusted her too much, which gave her an opportunity. Ms. Harrison, you really need to be careful around Tiffany!"
Kelly frowned. "Thanks for the warning."
She wouldn't be another Brianna. She would find a way to get Tiffany out of Lewis Group!
