Valerie was considered a beauty. For a doctor who burrowed himself in piles of books every day and who rarely met with beautiful women, he was not immune to it.

When the doctor saw her say this, he could only respond, "I'll tell President Holland for you."

"Great, thank you."

Valerie smiled demurely.

She knew what kind of man she was going to deal with and what kind of tactics worked on them.

Seeing her smile, the doctor felt that he was even more obliged to do so, so he turned around and went back to the rehabilitation room.

Skylar was keeping on with his rehabilitation in the room. Last time, when Franklin flirted with Coralie, he initially thought that he could deal with the act of separating himself from Coralie.

He presumed that even if Coralie had a boyfriend in the future and married another man, he would only watch from a distance and would not say anything about it.

However, when he heard Franklin telling Coralie that he was single, he found out that he couldn't accept it at all!

"President Holland."

The doctor came from Valerie's room to report to Skylar.

"Is she gone?" He asked.

"She said it's too late today. This place is too far from the city area, so she'll leave tomorrow."

The doctor passed on Valerie's words to Skylar.

Skylar felt that since Valerie had said that she was going to leave, he shouldn't push her too much. She would leave after tonight anyway, so he said, "Okay."

That night, he finished his rehabilitation program and went back to his room in a wheelchair.

He was ready to go to bed after taking a shower.

His rehabilitation consumed a great deal of his energy and he would be exhausted as he returned to his room every day. However, he always stared at Coralie's phone number in a daze.

When Valerie came today, he was angry and irritated, but he couldn't help wondering what he would do if Coralie came today.

He couldn't throw a tantrum at Coralie, could he?

Absent-mindedly, Skylar accidentally pressed the number on the screen.

Even he didn't notice it himself.

"Hello?"

Soon, the call was answered. It was Coralie's vague voice. She seemed to be sleeping, but her voice was a little hoarse.

When Skylar heard Coralie's voice, he realized that he had called her. He was rattled and wanted to hang up the phone, but he couldn't stop his hand in the act...
