Coralie was already very familiar with these things.

She stayed by Skylar's side. Hendric sensibly stood to one side, no longer shouting that he was hungry.

They waited there for Skylar's legs to recover. Because Skylar had kicked over the chess table, Lillian and the others' chess game had been dismissed.

She had just come out of Mrs. Andrews's house when she saw Skylar kneeling there. When she thought something had happened, she pushed Coralie away and scolded, "Coralie, you're crazy. How dare you ask my son to kneel down to you? What's wrong with the way I took care of Hendric? Don't think that you can do whatever you want just because he is in love with you. As long as I'm alive, I will never allow you to enter the Holland family's home!"

Lillian had come over in a hurry, so Coralie did not notice her at all. When Lilian pushed her with all of her strength, Coralie fell over, her head hitting against the ground.

Lillian was still not done after pushing Carolie to the ground. She then continued to hit and kick Carolie.

Lillian had been bullied by Skylar just now, and now she was going to vent all her anger on Coralie.

Coralie's vision had become hazy because she bumped her head, so she couldn't avoid Lillian's hits.

"Get lost!" Skylar roared.

Skylar couldn't move at all due to the pain in his leg.

However, he had used all of his strength to scream at Lilian.

Because of the pain in his legs, he had been suppressing it before. Now, his voice was very loud. Even the surrounding residential districts could hear it.

Lillian paused. She hadn't expected Skylar to say that to her. She looked at Skylar kneeling down without moving, with his head pressed low and his hands resting on his knees. It was as if he was apologizing to Coralie.

While she was talking, Lillian was trying to help Skylar up.

Coralie got up and watched Lillian pull Skylar up. She hurriedly stopped her, "Don't touch him!"

She knew that the moment Skylar moved, he would be in pain.

"Skylar, are you crazy?" Lilian looked at him incredulously.

"Mom, I'm not crazy. I love Carolie deeply, and I will only marry her. If you don't approve of her, then don't approve of me too."

Skylar said firmly as he knelt there.

Coralie didn't know what he was trying to do, so she quickly helped Skylar up and said, "Skylar, I forgive you, I forgive you, please get up."

She grabbed onto Skylar's clothes in her hands and felt that his suit had been soaked inside out.

Lilian was seething with anger as she heard Skylar's words. Her son whom she was so proud of, how could he have resorted to this? How could she be able to bear it!

Coralie pulled Skylar to his feet. Hendric, who was by her side, didn't know what had happened. He simply asked, "Mom and Dad, can we go eat?"

"Yes, we can.” They replied in unison.
