Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl Novel novel Chapter 401

Chapter 401

Sitting in her room, Jenny made a call.

1/1

“Master Jordan, you’re ungrateful. I helped you break up Richard and Pearl, but now you’ve made things worse for me!”

Ezra snorted. “You’re reaping what you’ve sown. If you had behaved yourself, you wouldn’t be facing such criticism.”

“You know what I’m worlang for! I’m sure you don’t want Pearl to find out that her breakup was planned all along, do you?” Jenny might have been younger, but she wasn’t naive.

Taking a deep breath, Ezra said. “Alright, don’t try to blackmail me. I’ll help you sort it out, but I won’t bail you out if you mess things up again.”

“Okay, don’t worry. I won’t bother you anymore.” Jenny agreed reluctantly, realizing there were benefits for her in this

arrangement

Ezra hung up abruptly

While reading the comments on the Internet, Jenny couldn’t help but crack a sinister smile.

Pearl had been away from Bodgow for a month, but Blake was still in the hospital. Ezra insisted that Blake stay in the hospital for an additional two weeks to ensure his full recovery and prevent him from overexerting himself.

When Pearl visited Blake in the hospital, he was forced to drink some soup. Spotting Pearl, he hurried over.

“Tell Grandfather that I’m all better, Pearl. I can get out of this bed and go outside now!”

Pearl found his aggrieved expression amusing. “Alright, I’ll let him know, but you have to stay here a bit longer.”

Blake’s eagerness faded as he sat down with a sulky expression. He became downcast because Pearl did not console him after a long while. “Okay, I have a question for you. Why did you break up with Richard?”

Pearl playfully tapped his head. “Didn’t you read the news?”

“Why would Richard suddenly fall for someone else when he was so devoted to you? I think there must be some misunderstanding.” As they talked, Blake carefully positioned himself on the bed, keeping a safe distance from Pearl to avoid getting hit again.

“I thought the same way.” Pearl’s expression hardened. “But I asked and clarified it many times. It’s not a misunderstanding. He’s genuinely still hung up on Jenny.”
