Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl Novel novel Chapter 402

Chapter 402

“So, what’s the big deal if he had a first love?” Pearl asked.

“That was his first love three years ago. But that woman disappeared afterward. He loved her deeply and spent a long time searching for her. Unfortunately, she passed away. That incident left him heartbroken for a long time. Eventually, he shifted his focus to his work and managed to expand the company to its current size within two years.”

In short, Raymond was a loyal and passionate man. Pearl sighed inwardly.

”

“Okay, let’s change the topic. Since you two are a couple, you should get along well I must say, I feel you guys are very similar.

Smiling, Pearl shook her head. “Two similar people can’t be a couple. If I dated someone like me, what would be the point?” Relationships work better when people complement each other.

“But

“Alright, I didn’t mean it. I’ll talk to Master Jordan about getting you out of the hospital. Bye.”

Pearl stood up to leave, but Blake stopped her, pleading, “Don’t go. Let’s chat a bit more. It’s been a while since I talked to someone my age. The old man who checks on me every day just forces me to take herbs. I’ve had enough of it.”

Pearl turned around and flashed him a bright smile. “Should I arrange for some young and pretty nurses for you?”

Blake scowled. “Get out of here”

Soon, Pearl received some troubling news. The situation with Richard and Jenny had escalated, and it seemed that someone was secretly adding fuel to the fire. As a result, Waldorf Enterprises was in deep trouble.

Although Pearl was reluctant to interfere in Richard’s affairs, she had put in quite a lot of effort in Waldorf Enterprises and couldn’t simply ignore it. So, she called Richard.

“Have you figured out who’s behind this?”

“Yes, it’s Lawson Enterprises and Hugo ” Richard sounded tired.

“What’s your plan?”

Richard answered calmly, “When life gives me lemons, I’ll make lemonade.”

Pearl was instantly furious. “What? Richard, what the hell are you thinking? Are you just going to let Waldorf Enterprises suffer?”

“That’s the only option now.”

“But there are better solutions. Why didn’t you take action? We have evidence of Lawson Enterprises’ tax evasion. Why didn’t you-”

Pearl stopped mid-sentence, realizing that she was the only one with the photos and recordings. However, Richard refused to meet her because he felt guilty for wronging her. He’d rather see Waldorf Enterprises decline than face her.

“I’ll send you the evidence.” The next moment, Pearl was shocked to discover that he had blocked her on social media.

“I forgot to block your number. Don’t call me again.”
