A Naive Bride for the Sophisticated CEO novel Chapter 14

Amelia got home and applied some ointment to her burnt chest, and she felt better. She started preparing for the dinner party in no time.

She had gone to call Elena to help her pick an outfit, but when she went, Elena said she was busy, but would be with her in a few minutes.

“Amelia, I am less busy now. Can I come in?” Elena knocked on Amelia’s door and waited for her to answer.

“Yes, come in! I didn’t lock the door,” Amelia responded, tossing more clothes from her closet.

Elena walked into Amelia’s apartment and searched the living room with her eyes. Her eyes fell on Amelia’s open bedroom door, and she walked to the door.

Her jaw slacked when she saw how scattered Amelia’s room was. So many clothes were on the floor, some on the bed, and even few found their way to her standing mirror.

“What in the rough’s name is going on here?”

Amelia, who was in towels, jumped at the sound of Elena's voice, she looked back and sighed after seeing how shocked Elena looked.

“Thank God, you are here. I need your help.”

She hurried to where Elena stood and grabbed her hand. She pulled her to her closet and let go of her. She stood akimbo and looked at her closet too.

“I have been looking for the perfect dress for a dinner party, but I can’t find any! Can you help me?”

Elena bounced her head and looked around the bedroom again.

“Yes, I can, but you didn’t have to throw your clothes all over this way.”

“I know, but I grew frustrated at some point,” Amelia sulked.

“Okay, chill now. Breathe.”

Amelia exhaled loudly and bounced her head. “I think I’m better now. So, what do I do?”

“Do you have any gowns? Sexy ones?” Elena asked, and Amelia scoffed.

“Me? Sexy gowns? No, I don’t. I have never dressed sexy my whole life. And that is why it is so hard to pick an outfit.” She brushed her hair backward in frustration.

“Okay… Okay… there’s a solution to everything. This dinner party you are talking about, is it a family dinner party? Or a business dinner party?”

“A business dinner party. I need to look classy and beautiful so that I don’t disgrace Mr. James and his company as a whole.”

“Mr. James?” Elena asked.

“Yes…” Amelia walked to her standing mirror to pick the clothes that hung on it. “Mr. James Parker, the CEO of Ja’ Park’s Tertiary Company. I’m his new secretary, and I don’t want to be treated like garbage again at this party.”

‘James Parker?’ Elena answered in her head. That name would never cease to ring a bell, not after the splendid night they had together when she was his secretary.

“Elena, are you okay? You seem lost.”

Amelia waved her hand in front of Elena’s face, jolting her out of her thoughts.

“Errm, sorry about that. So, you are his new secretary, and you want to look beautiful for him…”

“And his company. Not just for him,” Amelia completed the statement always immediately, and Elena slowly bobbed.

‘So he fired me to hire someone like her? Is he joking?’ Elena thought, letting out a fake smile.

“I got you covered, Amelia. I have a very nice blue gown. I bought it some days ago. It’s pretty tight for my body, but I bet it will fit you perfectly well. I’ll go and get it for you.”

“Oh, God. Thank you so much, Elena. You are a lifesaver.”

Elena smiled faintly and walked out of the bedroom. ‘Let’s see how you’ll win his heart after I’m done with you, Amelia.’

Elena returned shortly with the blue gown she had promised, and she also had a makeup box with her.

“You can wear such a nice dress without some makeover. I’ll help you with that too,” Elena said to Amelia.

“Thank you so much, Elena. You are such a darling.”

Amelia raised the gown and saw it was a long gown which had a split in front. The blue color was flashy and giving, she couldn’t wait to wear it.

She hurriedly loosened her towel and let it slide down her body. She wore a bra and pantie underneath.

Elena watched her as she wore a cloth. She laughed so hard inside her. She knew what she was doing. ‘I won’t let any woman have James. If I can’t have him, then no one can.’

“What do you think?”

Amelia nervously ran her palm over the dress, and Elena clapped. “Perfect!”
