A Unique Bodyguard: The Drop Dead Gorgeous CEO Fell for Me novel Chapter 10

"Alright, thank you. Don't worry; I'll take care of your transport expenses to and from here," Rebecca said after thinking for a while.

"That's not necessary. You should get in now." Jasper still said it in a flat voice, and then he added, "I'll watch you get in. Turn on and off the lights in your living room three times after you enter so that I can be sure you are safe."

"Okay." Rebecca nodded and walked inside. She took out her key and opened the door. And then, just like what Jasper had said, she switched on and off the lights in her living room three times and locked the door.

Rebecca went to her bedroom on the second floor and put down her purse. She opened the curtains and looked at the courtyard. Jasper had already disappeared in the dim light, and the iron gates outside were also closed. Rebecca smiled and then said to herself, "I didn't know a blockhead can be so kindhearted. That's really something."

At three o'clock in the morning, Rebecca suddenly woke up. She then went to the bathroom, her eyes still fogged with sleep. She used the bathroom and washed her hands, and when she was about to go back to her bed, she went to look at the courtyard as usual.

The courtyard was still quiet. Nothing was different. But just as Rebecca was about to go back to bed, she suddenly felt that something was wrong. She opened the curtains again, and as expected, she saw a person lying on the bench of the pavilion in the garden. And Rebecca could see that that person was none other than Jasper.

Rebecca's eyes widened as she saw him. She really couldn't believe that Jasper just slept in the pavilion instead of going home. Rebecca was touched, but she was also angry. She was angry that Jasper was too stubborn. She could not believe that a person like him really existed in the world. Without the time to put on a coat, she went downstairs in her pajamas, opened the door, and ran out.

Jasper was sleeping soundly when he suddenly heard footsteps. He immediately opened his eyes and figured out that the sound was coming from the direction of the house. And since those were obviously the sound of someone running in slippers, he instantly understood what was going on. He sat up, took out a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it.

Rebecca ran out to wake Jasper up in a huff. But when she got to the garden, she found that Jasper was already awake and was sitting there smoking a cigarette as he looked at her.

"Good morning." Jasper nodded to Rebecca and said tonelessly as if he was just greeting her.

"Good morning? Do you know what time it is now? Jasper Dodson, what on earth are you doing? Didn't you promise me that you wouldn't stay here at night? Then what are you doing here?" Rebecca puffed her cheeks with anger.

Jasper blew out smoke and said, "I only promise you that I won't get into your house. I'm not in your house."

Smelling the suffocating smell of cigarettes, Rebecca immediately coughed and shouted at Jasper, "Can you stop smoking? Don't you know that not to smoke in front of a lady is the most common courtesy and the most basic way to show respect?"

"I'm sorry," Jasper said, his tone sounding plain. He stood up, walked away, and leaned against a pillar of the pavilion to smoke with his back to Rebecca. And then he said, "Did you come out at this time just to tell me not to smoke in front of you? I know it now. I won't smoke in front of you next time. You can go back to bed now."

"Go back to bed? Jasper, I really don't know what's in your brain or if there's something wrong with your brain. Let's not talk about whether it's comfortable to sleep on this stone bench. It's not winter now, but the temperature is still not high. Aren't you afraid of catching a cold after sleeping here all night? Can you be a bit more flexible?" Rebecca said with anger. She felt a little cold after she said that and crossed her arms somewhat unnaturally.

Jasper looked at Rebecca and said unhurriedly, "Okay, I see. You should go back. If you really want to continue this talk, you should go back and put on some clothes first."

"That's my own business. Jasper, go back home to sleep. Do you hear me? Are you happy to make me mad?" Rebecca was furious when she saw the unconcerned look on Jasper's face.

"Thank you for caring about me, but that's completely unnecessary. I used to be a soldier, and I'm used to sleeping in the wild. It's not a big deal for me. I'm done. You can go back to bed now," Jasper said calmly.
