Everything was fine when they just got on the elevator, but Jasper saw a few men wearing glasses leaning backward to press themselves against Rebecca deliberately when it became crowded. Rebecca protected her chest by placing her hands there, her face sullen. Seeing this, Jasper tried to squeeze himself into the space next to her and got there in just two seconds. He then pushed the two men in front of him forward with his hands and directly stood between Rebecca and the others. He even created an independent and safe space for Rebecca in the crowded elevator.

After getting off the elevator, Rebecca said to Jasper, "Thank you for what you did just now."

"That was just my duty. Many people get off work at this time. You should avoid taking the elevator during this time in the future. People can easily take advantage of a beautiful girl like you when it's so crowded." Jasper said tonelessly and then walked out.

"Did he just call me a beautiful girl? This blockhead finally said something nice." Rebecca froze for a second, and then she smiled to herself and caught up with Jasper.

"Are you going home or somewhere else?" Jasper sat in the car and asked Rebecca.

Rebecca said slowly, "I have an appointment with a friend. We'll have dinner at the St. Paul's Restaurant."

Jasper nodded and drove directly to the St. Paul's Restaurant. It was a western-style restaurant.

Jasper parked the car and followed Rebecca upstairs. When they got to a table by the window on the second floor, Rebecca greeted a beautiful girl sitting there, "Miranda, how long have you been here?"

"I just arrived. Who is he?" Miranda asked when she saw Jasper behind Rebecca.

Just as Rebecca was thinking about introducing Jasper to Miranda, Jasper spoke, "Miss Rebecca, enjoy your meal. I'll wait for you over there." After saying that, Jasper nodded to Miranda, who was looking at him with a strange look, and said, "Excuse me." He then turned around to leave.

"Aren't you going to eat with us?" Rebecca hurriedly asked Jasper.

"No, thank you," Jasper said in a flat tone. He then walked away and sat down on the sofa in the rest area. From there, he could see Rebecca's table without any obstruction and would not affect Rebecca talking to her best friend.

"What happened?" Miranda asked Rebecca with a puzzled look on her face.

Rebecca shook her head and said, "Don't mention it. He's a bodyguard my father hired for me today. I didn't want him at all, but I compromised with my father in the end. You know he is old and stubborn."
