A Unique Bodyguard: The Drop Dead Gorgeous CEO Fell for Me novel Chapter 9

Miranda nodded and said, "Well, I hope so." She did not go on about the topic.

Miranda and Rebecca left the restaurant after dinner. Both of them had to work the next day, so they were not in the mood to look for fun at night. Jasper followed Rebecca and got into the car.

Just as Jasper was about to start the car, Rebecca suddenly said, "Jasper, how about this? There's a building opposite my neighborhood. I'll get you a flat there, and you can live there. I can get a flat on a floor where you can see my house clearly. So if anything unexpected happens to me, you can see it immediately. What do you think?"

After hearing Rebecca's words, Jasper had no expression at all, and he started the car and drove it out.

After waiting for a long time, Rebecca still didn't hear Jasper's reply. She got a little angry and asked, "How about it? Say something!"

"Sorry, that won't do. It's not up to me to decide how to protect you, so you wouldn't get the answer you want even if you ask me a hundred more times." Jasper said, his tone sounding plain.

"Jasper, I'm grateful for what you did in the elevator. No matter what, you have helped me. I am not an ungrateful person. But what we are discussing now is something else. How can I live in the same house with a man I don't know? Today is the first day we met. We have known each other for no more than six hours, and we have not even talked much to each other. I really can't stand the thought of you living in my house. I believe it's not just me. Every girl in the world wouldn't be able to bear it." Rebecca finally got mad. She was furious because she couldn't persuade Jasper, no matter what she said.

Jasper was still driving the car attentively as if he didn't notice Rebecca's anger at all. He didn't even turn his head, and there wasn't even the slightest change in the look on his face.

"I know what you want to say. You want to say this has nothing to do with you, and you will do it as long as my father agrees. Is that right? Perhaps as a man, you don't understand how frightening it is to sleep in a confined space with an unknown man. Let me tell you frankly. I definitely won't be able to fall asleep," Rebecca said hysterically.

Jasper still didn't say anything. After a long time, he said, "Okay. I promise you I won't get into your house after I send you home later. You can sleep soundly then."

Rebecca was shocked when Jasper answered in a flat voice. She didn't expect that Jasper, who was so inflexible and stubborn, would actually change his mind and agree to her request. She almost couldn't believe her ears. After a while, she said, "Thank you. I'm sorry. I just said a lot of things that might have hurt you. I hope you don't mind. I ... I only said it out of spite."

"That's fine," Jasper said calmly. He was still driving, and he didn't turn his head around during the whole time.

The car drove into a high-end villa area. The security guard let them in without asking anything when he saw the familiar car and the familiar license plate number. Rebecca directed Jasper into the courtyard of a villa. After letting Rebecca get out of the car, Jasper drove the car into the garage.

"I won't go in, but I want to ask if there is anyone else in your house. For example, your servants." Jasper asked when he handed the car key to Rebecca after getting out of the car.

Rebecca said to Jasper gratefully, "No, I live here on my own. You just saw it. The security measures here are quite good. You can rest assured. Thank you, Jasper. I hope you won't tell my father about this. I don't want him to be sad and to think that I'm willful and rebellious or to worry about me."

"I see. You should get in now. Remember to lock the door properly. This is my mobile phone number. If you need anything, you can call me or just text me. I'll close the iron gates outside. You don't have to worry about that. I'll pick you up on time tomorrow morning." Jasper nodded and said, and there was no emotion in his tone.
