After Jasper left the company, it only took him a short while to get back to his old flat by bus. He took out a military canvas bag and packed up a few clothes in his bedroom. And then he took off his security guard uniform, put on the suit that was worth twelve thousand, and went out again. Before getting on a bus, Jasper went to a bank, and then he went straight back to the company.
After he got there, Jasper put his military canvas bag in the trunk of Rebecca's car. Then he walked inside the company building, directly went to Rebecca's office, and knocked on the door.
Rebecca was shocked when she saw Jasper in a well-ironed suit, and she almost couldn't recognize him. Now she had to admit that the tailor made the man. After Jasper put on that suit, he immediately changed into another man and looked both tough and handsome.
"Here are 12,000 for you." Jasper took out the cash, which he just withdrew from the bank from his pocket, and placed it on Rebecca's desk. And then, he turned around to leave.
"What do you mean? Why are you giving me money?" Rebecca stopped Jasper and asked.
Jasper said calmly without turning around, "This is the money for the suit. In my contract with your father, he only specifies a salary of 500,000 a year. No other benefits are mentioned, so I should pay for the suit myself."
"Are you rich? I said I would pay for it, and I won't take your money. Take it away." Rebecca got angry again.
"I'm not rich. If I had money, I wouldn't have come to work here as your bodyguard or worked as a security guard before. But this has nothing to do with money. I don't like to owe people things, especially favors." Jasper directly walked out of Rebecca's office and closed the door after he said that.
Rebecca watched with surprise as the tall man got out of the door. She suddenly felt confused about what kind of man Jasper was. Was he an idiot or really a man with integrity? Rebecca preferred to believe her first guess.
Jasper only sat down for a while before he saw people bustle in the company. He looked at his phone and saw that the time was 5:30. It was probably time to get off work. And he was right. Jasper saw Rebecca walk out with her purse after a short while, so he also turned off his computer and stood up.
Rebecca said sincerely to Jasper, "Jasper, I apologize for my bad attitude. I don't actually hate you. You know, what I really don't like is that my father gives me orders without discussing them with me. I'm indeed his daughter, but he should respect my opinions."
Jasper nodded and said, "That's fine."
Rebecca said politely to Jasper, "There's something I want to discuss with you. I hope you can agree to it."
"I'm listening," Jasper said briefly. He was a man of few words, and he rarely spoke unnecessary words.
"You see, I have promised my father that I will accept you to be my bodyguard, so I will certainly not shut you out. But I live in a house by myself, so it's inappropriate for you to live in the same house with me. How about this? You pick me up every day and work in our company during the day. You can stay at your own place at night. If I need to go out at night, I will definitely call you first. What do you think?" Rebecca tried to discuss the details with Jasper.
Jasper shook his head after he heard her words and said, "Sorry, that won't do. I already told you that the mission your father gave me is to protect you 24 hours a day, so I must stay by your side at night as well."
"I know, but no one will know if you don't tell him. Is that right? My dad won't deduct your wages for that, will he?" Rebecca continued.
"Sorry, I can't. I always do my best to fulfill my promise to others. I really can't agree with your request. Miss Rebecca, you really don't need to worry too much. I've told you that I won't look at what I shouldn't see or listen to what I shouldn't hear. You can just treat me as an invisible man." Jasper shook his head and said.
Jasper directly walked out after that. He did not say another word to Rebecca.
