Alpha Clause novel Chapter 8

Fay turned to the two towel racks with towels on them. She moved the towel aside on one then placed the dress and underwear on it so that the dress will cover the inners. Turning to face the jacuzzi and the shower, she wanted to try the jacuzzi, but knew that they had no time. Shower it was then. She thought as she approached it.

After Fay had showered, Alpha Clause led her downstairs as he held her hand. They climbed down the winding staircase and finally reached the ground floor. She saw that no one was in the living room section and Alpha Clause noticed it too as he said, "There is no one in the living room, which means that everyone is already at the dining table waiting for breakfast."

"Oh no, I hope I didn't keep them waiting too long." Fay said looking worried, but Alpha Clause gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Not at all, my Fay. You are the Luna, they are to wait for you and we are not late." He said as he led her to the hallway beside the staircase.

"Oh, that's good then. I want to make a good impression." She said as they walked down the long hallway that had many rooms on both sides.

"You already did last night and they love you including the other pack members at the town square." He said as he glanced at her before returning his gaze to where they were going.

She have him a grateful smile just as they turned left and a dining room came into sight. Hewolves and shewolves lined the long dining table, and they all turned around when they heard them coming with their heightened werewolf hearing. They all quickly stood up to greet them. "Good morning, Alpha and Luna."

"Good morning, how are you all?" Alpha Clause replied as he looked over them.

"Good." Some replied while some replied, "Great." and others replied, "Nice."

He led her to the wide head of the dining table where there were two chairs. "As most of you remember from last night, this is your Luna, Fay Thomas, and we will be having our personal mating ceremony later."

"Welcome Luna." They all chorused and Alpha Clause gestured to the chairs as he glanced at her.

"Let's eat." She nodded and sat down on the chair on the left. He sat down on the chair on the right.

She looked over the werewolves at the dining table and saw that they were sixteen including the kids. Beta Connor was sitting on the side of the table of Alpha Clause. An older woman that looked to be in her sixties was sitting opposite the Beta. She saw the familiar faces of the werewolves from yesterday, but she didn't recognize the older woman.

There was also an empty seat beside Beta Connor, that meant that someone was running late. She turned her gaze to the table to see it full of breakfast dishes. Pancakes, sandwiches, toasts and noodles were arranged on it. Every seat had a plate and utensils in front of it. Alpha Clause picked up her plate and drew the dishes closer. He started filling her plate with food from each dish.

The other werewolves all looked amazed as he did that because it meant that the werewolf loved his mate a lot when he did that. She smiled at him as he moved her food filled back to her front. "Thanks."

He nodded and started filling up his own plate. After he was done, Beta Connor and the older woman started filling up their plates. It was after they were done that the rest of the werewolves took their share. Fay was eating her pancakes with her fork and Alpha Clause was eating his noodles as he watched her when they heard the clicking of high heels.
