Brittany's face became scared as she looked down nervously, "I-I-I am sorry, Alpha. I didn't mean it like that."
Beta Connor touched Alpha Clause's arm, "Alpha, please calm down. She was mistaken."
Alpha Clause stood up, making Connor's hand fall ofg his arm. He looked over at all the pack members at the table. In his deep voice, he calmy said, "This is a warning to all of you. No one is to disrespect the Luna or they will face consequences."
His calm tone made him even more scary, everyone at the table looked frightened. She could see why he was known as the most fierce and serious Alpha. Everyone answered him, "Yes, Alpha."
The pack members seemed so comfortable with him and didn't look scared of him one bit since she arrived at the house until now. Fay felt happy that he stood up for her and stood up from her seat to stand beside him. She slipped her hand into his, making him look at her. She smiled at him and his amber eyes started turning back to brown as he calmed down and smiled back at her.
They sat back down and resumed eating with Brittany obviously trying not to glare at Fay as she ate her food angrily. Fay paid her no mind as she understood what she was trying to do. It was obvious that she was interested in Alpha Clause. Fay could see right through her, and it was apparent that Brittany was trying to show him and everyone there that Fay wasn't fit to be his Luna, but she was.
Fay arrived late last night with no clothes of hers. She woke up this morning in a hurry to come to breakfast, of course she wouldn't have the time to pick out what to wear from the sea of her new clothes. It was also something that wasn't hard to do, it could be done in a few minutes, but Brittany made a big deal out of it. She would have to keep an eye on her.
After having breakfast, Fay, Alpha Clause, and all the pack members there excluding Brittany and Beta Connor made their way to the living room. As soon as the Alpha and Luna sat down on one of the couches there, the young pack members rushed to Fay while the adults walked to the other couches and recliners to sit down.
"Luna, you promised to spend time with me." The little girl from yesterday said while another girl in her teens said, "Come see my room."
Then everyone was talking at once as each young werewolf wanted to spend time with her. Alpha Clause and Fay smiled at how accepting they were of her.
Fay glanced at them and said, "Okay, I'll make time to spend time with all of you. But since today is the day of the mating ceremony, I only have time to spend the day with one person."
"Yes, Luna." The young werewolves chorused.
She stood up from the couch and took the hand of the little girl from yesterday and looked at her, still smiling, "I did promise to spend time with you today. What do you want to do?"
"Come with me." The girl started dragging her to the hallway beside the stairs.
Alpha Clause stood up as he saw that, and the girl stopped trying to drag her. He leaned closer to Fay and pressed a kiss on the side of her head. He murmured in her ear as his breath fanned her earlobe, "I will be in my sturdy upstairs, if you need anything before the event."
