Chapter 5

"I told you I need the full details of Alexa before this weekend, and here is what you bring, just pictures of her father, step-mother and siblings? Do you think I'm the curious viewer of her family album?" Aztec growled at his Gama, the third man in position of the Dark Ink pack. "I will get the complete details of her by today evening." The Gama Xavier blurted and shivered in his legs waiting for the Alpha's next command.

"You can leave now." Aztec roared in his human form inserting his hands deep inside his black pants while leaning to his office desk. It was night by the time he reached home. Alexa was still sleeping. She hardly woke up in these past ten days except to shower and to eat. The more Aztec thought of Alexa the greater grew his aversion for the family.  He felt odium for her father. The sick bastard couldn't leave a choice to his daughter before he thought of marriage with another woman. Catherine is a witch who destroyed the little, innocent Alexa's life

She was completely weak almost like a dead body on the day he found her. Aztec wondered what could have happened in her past life that she was in rags, with no sufficient food to eat for past many years. Was she living in so much poverty? He looked at the sleeping form of his mate. "Mate. Need to keep her safe." He whispered and then felt his canines come out and fur started to extend in his body indicating that his wolf was about to come out. He controlled him and he went behind in his mind. Alexa wasn't supposed to see him in his wolf form.  He was angry. His claws were extended after he read the complete file the Gama of the pack brought to him just a couple of hours ago.

Alexa was tortured to death. Aztec wondered how she could survive for so long suffering the enormous pressure in her house. Then he remembered the prophecy of the Celestial figure. Alexa was his mate. So it is the power of destiny that she lives and meets him. She is tortured so much by her step-mother, suffered the sexual abuse of her step-brother and looked after her sick father...so much to bear from such a young age but even after facing the hell Alexa still has hopes with life. She wants to save her father and thus wants to go back to the hell of the place she calls home.

Aztec tried to question about her past many times but she wouldn't budge. Little did Alexa know that he was Alpha Aztec, her husband to be - the only person who loves her selflessly and destined to take care of her. Now that he had met her, he is going to protect her and never ever going to send her back to the hell. Aztec doesn't mind even if he becomes a villain in the looks of Alexa by becoming stubborn arrogant and commanding but he is going to save her from her sick family by any means.

Aztec was a selfish monster and also very powerful.  There is nothing existing in this world that he aspired and couldn't achieve. Alexa will be no exception. His eyes fell on her and she is going to be his, either by force or by weakness. If he sends Alexa back to her home in an attempt to win her heart, the witch is going to kill her. So he has no choice but to keep her safe and protected like a precious ornament in his safety locker because Alexa was his most priced possession.

In the mean time the evil sorceress will be taught a lesson. She had tortured Alexa since the little girl was four. Catherine was a black mark on motherhood. He wants Marcus dead but the only thing which is stopping him are the feelings of Alexa. Though he is a monster he wishes not to show his evil side to her because she needs to fall in love just like he does and marry him.

Alexa hasn't accepted Aztec as yet. She doesn't know his true form and has no feelings for him except for a gratitude that he saved her. She was enticing beautiful in a different way from what Aztec felt about the number of girls he slept before. Aztec Alpha was considered a tyranny, a heartless cold werewolf who killed people merciless and treated woman like whores.

There was nothing good that was inscribed on his name yet when he looks at this empowering girl Alexa, he feels an unknown selfless bond of love for her - the urge to protect her and keep her safe no matter whatever dangers he has to face. Probably it is the power of fate - the cryptic game of destiny that was playing with him.
