Shirley felt really sleepy after a brief chat with her father. She decided to rest on the vacant bed for her baby's sake. "Dad, I'm going to take a nap too. Let me know if you need anything."

"Sure, go ahead. You've been busy all night. Get some rest." Mr. Wilson sympathized with Shirley and agreed.

Having been busy for the whole night, Shirley fell asleep as soon as she lay down in bed. However, she was abruptly awakened by a nightmare after only two hours of sleep, drenched in sweat from fear. Daylight shone right in as she opened her eyes, and her father was getting an IV drip. There was no sight of her mother in the ward, however.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Shirley recalled the terrifying nightmare she had just experienced, where Lucien was chased and assaulted by debt collectors. It had left her trembling in fear with cold sweat.

The priority on her to-do list now was to locate Lucien. Well aware of her capacity limits, Shirley was going to seek help from Veronica.

It was now that her mother returned with breakfast and noticed Shirley waking up. She said with a smile, "Shirley, are you awake? I got you breakfast. I have something to eat."

"I..." There was no way Shirley would eat. For one, she found the greasy smell unbearable due to her pregnancy, and it also meant that she would have to take her mask off.

"You two go ahead. I'm too exhausted to eat now, so I will sleep in."
