Chapter 41 B*tches
It felt cold to sleep on the sofa. So, Tina curled up all night and cried silently until she felt dizzy. She hadn't eaten all day, so she had a stomach in the middle of the night, feeling as if a hand abruptly grabbed her pain nerve and fiercely twisted it.
She didn't dare to move because she did not want to disturb Samuel. But she couldn't find a solution. She needed medicine. But if she went out now, she might encounter Louis. She had fallen into a predicament, and she could only choose to endure the pain in the end.
The pain become unbridled without medicine, making her unable to fall asleep at all. Even though she was tired, the pain woke her up again and again. So, she even doubted whether she would survive till dawn. Fortunately, Samuel in the bedroom didn't make any more trouble. Otherwise, she would die in front of him.
When the mild morning sunshine came into the living room, Tina squinted her eyes, and tears flowed out of her dry eyes. She had not expected herself to survive, so she showed a self-mocking smile, thinking she was as hardy as a cockroach.
Then, she closed her eyes to calm herself down. When she was struggling to get up, she suddenly heard the door being unlocked. Then, someone slowly pushed the door open and cautiously walked in.
Soon, Tina saw the comer's face clearly in the hazy morning light. It turned out to be Caitlyn.
"Why did you get up so early?" Tina asked, stopping her from walking into the bedroom.
Caitlyn had not expected that there was a person on the sofa, so she abruptly turned around with an embarrassed smile.
"I'm worried about Mr. Langford. So, I came over to see if you need my help."
Tina did not bother to expose her charade. Moreover, she did need her help now.
So, she said, "I have an upset stomach. Can you please buy me some medicine?"
Caitlyn froze for a moment and then said with an unnatural expression, "But Mr. Langford..."
"He won't get up so early," Tina interrupted.
Caitlyn retracted her hand from the doorknob in embarrassment, pushed back the hair on her cheeks, folded her hands in front, and said, "OK. What medicine do you need? I'll go buy it now."
Tina told her the name of the medicine and reminded her, "There is a pharmacy downstairs, so you don't need to go far."
Caitlyn nodded and walked out reluctantly, saying, "Please take care of Mr. Langford."
Tina readily agreed on the surface but sneered in her heart, thinking Caitlyn did not need to worry about Samuel so much. After all, he was in such good health that he could withstand another two glasses of mango juice.
After Caitlyn went out, the living room fell silent again.
Tina struggled to stand up, lightly poured herself a cup of water, went to the bathroom to call the hotel reception, and ordered breakfast in a faint voice.
Breakfast arrived before the medicine. So, she had a little porridge and then waited for Caitlyn who had gone out to buy the medicine.
Caitlyn was probably afraid of missing the moment when Samuel opened his eyes, so she had run to and back from the pharmacy. And when she entered the door, she was sweating profusely.
Tina took the medicine over, thanked her in a calm tone, and took the medicine with some water. And then, she intended to leave. Unexpectedly, Caitlyn followed her out, looking hesitant to speak.
