Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 43

Chapter 43 Lecher

Tina had slept in the ward for half a day. When she woke up, Walter was playing a game with his phone. She tried to speak but found her voice stuck in her throat.

Walter glanced at her and smiled, "Are you awake?"

Tina nodded, swallowed hard, and frowned in pain, "Thank you."

Walter snorted because he did not like her hypocrisy. Then, he got up and went to ask the doctor to come over.

"She is fine now. You can fetch her something light to eat."

Tina had difficulty speaking, so it was Walter who communicated with the doctor from the beginning to the end. Seeing the doctor out, he ordered some food for her.

Tina was in a bad health condition now and didn't want to make things difficult for herself at this time, so she accepted his kindness in silence.

Looking at her having the meal, Water kindly decided not to mention yesterday's displeasure. But Tina didn't want to play dumb.

"Mr. Johnson, thank you for helping me."

Walter raised an eyebrow and said, "Your thanks are useless to me."

Tina was at a loss for words. Thinking for a while, she replied, "Yes, they’re useless. I have nothing to repay you now, so they sound like lip service."

She then raised her head to face him and continued, "Please believe me. I will pay back this favor in the future."

Walter had just wanted to tease her and had not expected her to be so serious, so he felt bored.

Seeing him not intend to respond, Tina shut her mouth tactfully.

Walter then glanced at her and said, "I'll stay here for two more days. What's your plan?"

Tina threw away the cotton swab over the needle hole and said honestly, "I have to go back to the company. It’s improper to stay outside all the time. My supervisor will blame me."

Walter waved his hand and tutted, "Hurry up and go back. It's annoying."

He took out his mobile phone and added, "I'll arrange a car for you."

Tina kept silent, letting him arrange everything. After he put down his phone, she said, "I'm sorry for troubling you. I'll treat you to dinner when you have time."

Walter raised his eyebrows and said in a better mood, "Your treat?"

Tina smiled and slightly moved her light-colored lips, saying, "I'm not as poor as you imagined. I can still afford to buy you a meal."

"Can I order whatever I want to eat?" Walter fiddled with his phone, looking playful.

Tina nodded, "Yes."

"Good!" Walter snapped his fingers, got up with one hand in his pocket, and said, "I'll drive you home."
