Chapter 59 I Want Your Promise
The man next to her said it in a satirizing way. It seemed that he was just there to watch, but he made her feel he was erratic.
Tina rolled her eyes toward the window, gritting her teeth and said, "Comparing with that, I care more about how you will pay me back."
She risked to turned her head to look at Samuel and said, "I am not your secretary any more. I was busy running about your business all night long and solved a big question for your Group. You will make my effort paid, right?"
Samuel stared at her. He suddenly laughed out and said, "No wonder... "
Tina swallow a mouth of slobber and felt very nervous.
"No wonder you didn't stay with Matthew just now. You want me pay you back." Samuel sneered, looking a little relaxed and leaning back in the leather seat leisurely. He said, "Tell me what do you want?"
Tina waited all night for him to say that. Her heart was cheering excitedly inside.
She thought about it in her head, and her first thought was to have Samuel helped her get Louis off her back. But thinking it in another way, even without Louis, there was still Vincent, and she couldn't use Samuel's power forever.
"You want money again?" Seeing that Tina didn't speak for so long, Samuel guessed what she was thinking through her previous request.
Pursing her lip, Tina asked frankly, "How much are you going to give me?"
Samuel thought he got the right answer. He casually pressed the lattice on the side of the seat and took out a card from it.
"Feel free to use it."
Tina raised her eyebrows, "Can I run out of all the money in it?"
Samuel looked at her and said, "I am just afraid that you don't have such bravery and capability."
Tina curled her lip. He was right. She couldn't even imagine using up the amount of his card. She don't have the bravery to spend those money even if withdrawing it out.
Taking the card, she drooped her eyes slightly and thought for a moment.
Samuel saw that she did not understand. He slightly frowned, "Still not enough for you?"
Tina gritted her teeth and handed the card back to him, "I don't want any money."
Samuel was stunned and immediately felt that she was conspiring something and did not take the card.
"What do you want to take away from me besides money?"
Tina was laughing at his paranoia of being persecuted inside her heart, but she was smiling, "I want a promise."
There was a light in Samuel's eyes. He asked, "What do you mean?"
"The money you gave me is enough for me to spend, but in Xesxia, I have to have another insurance for myself." Tina raised her lips, lifting her chin, and her eyes were glimmering. "If I do something dangerous one day, you have to protect me."
Samuel stared into her face, wondering if she was telling the truth. Then he withdrew his gaze.
"Do you think that you can get my promise so easily?"
Tina clutched the card in her hand, frowning and said, "Can it be more difficult than getting the right of the mining?"
Samuel pursed his lips and was silent.
