Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 69

Chapter 69 Expressing Her Thanks

After Tina took a shower at three in the morning, the same waiter knocked on the door for the third time. She was numb, so she asked him to bring the food into the room and expressionlessly closed the door.

This time, it was foie gras she had eaten at dinner tonight. She guessed there would be seven more dishes and an ice cream.

Standing in front of the mirror, she almost went crazy. But it was improper to scream in the middle of the night, so her voice was stuck in her throat.

She had some doubts but thought it was impossible after a second thought. Samuel would not do such a dull thing. However, she could think of nobody but him.

If it were Samuel, she would have to endure it. Once she angered him, the punishment would be much worse than preventing her from sleeping.

Sitting at the dining table, she angrily stuffed something into her mouth. Her cheeks bulged, making her look like a pufferfish.

In the next half an hour, the door knock became more frequent. After the dishes were delivered one after another, the ice cream finally came.

When Tina thought it was finally over, the waiter said, "The wine will be served soon. Please wait a moment."

Tina took a breath and silently stood at the door. When the waiter brought the wine over, she instantly recognized it was the bottle of wine she had drunk tonight. It had cost her seventy-eight thousand dollars!

She closed the door, secretly cursed Samuel, and quickly thought about what to do next. If she called him now, she would ask for humiliation. But she would die without knowing why if she did not ask about it.

She patted her and felt so weak she could barely stand steadily. It was four in the morning, so she had at most three hours to sleep. Therefore, she decided to call him to apologize after waking up. Otherwise, she would die. Then, she lay down regardless, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

...

The room was dark when Tina opened her eyes after a good sleep. But it didn't look like morning. She got up in shock, grabbed her phone, and found it was eleven. She scratched her head in a daze.

Fortunately, Victor wasn't in the company. If she made the excuse that she went to meet a client in the morning, she could muddle through. At worst, her salary would be deducted.

At the thought of this, she calmly washed up and limped downstairs to eat breakfast. Sitting in the café, she began thinking about how to explain to Samuel.

After a while, she bit the bullet and dialed his number. But he rejected her call.

Tina was speechless. She calmly stuffed a large piece of cheese toast into her mouth and called John.

John quickly answered the phone and asked, "Miss Lynd, what's up?"

Tina said softly, "Could you please help me pass on a message to Mr. Langford?"
