Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 76

Chapter 76 Owed Over 800,000

As soon as Tina heard Victor's name, she knew it couldn't be good news. She looked up and saw that it was almost ten o'clock; she had slept through the whole morning.

Yesterday, she could get away with it, but this time, she couldn't.

She struggled to climb out of bed and almost screamed when she looked in the mirror. Her eyes were swollen with bags, her skin was dry and yellow, and a barely noticeable scar on her lips made her look like a female ghost.

Samuel, that jerk!

She couldn't bring herself to scold herself, so she directed all her curses at Samuel, even using excessive force while brushing her teeth, as if she was venting all her anger on him.

After finally getting ready, she squeezed into the subway to the office. Sitting on the swaying train, she suddenly felt a bit miserable. It had been five years, and she still had no car. Samuel, that scum, had a race car as soon as he came of age.

Different destinies, she hated just thinking about it.

She clenched her teeth and harbored a grudge against the rich. After getting off the subway, she could only limp to the office. As soon as she entered, she heard Tiffany's timid voice.

"Do you know? Tina took advantage of your absence and sold a sports car."

Tina rolled her eyes. Why did Tiffany have to talk about her?

She painstakingly walked inside and spoke, "Mr. Miller, why are you back so soon?"

Victor still had some injuries on his face; he was boasting about how bravely he fought with the criminals. When he saw Tina come in, he hurriedly walked over.

"Tina, is your foot not healed yet?"

Tina waved her hand, "Forget about it. I twisted it again at home last night, and it worsened."

She wasn't exaggerating. Even though her ankle was wrapped in bandages, the redness and swelling were still visible.

Victor sighed twice, pretending to be compassionate, "You've suffered this time."

Tina forced a smile, "It's nothing."

"After going through so much hardship, you deserve half of the credit for the performance," Victor suddenly said.

Everyone present turned their eyes toward Tina, especially Tiffany, whose eyes were about to pop out.

Tina was shocked, and with an expression of disbelief, she repeatedly declined, "Mr. Miller, I don't think that's appropriate. I just accompanied you on a trip and didn't do anything."

"You're suffered so much, and you deserve it," Victor patted Tina's shoulder affectionately. "We're not quite close now, but we'll get to know each other better in the future. You deserve the credit."

Tina was surprised. She didn't even need to look up to know that everyone around them must be jealous, and they must have labeled her as being on Victor's "side."

She took a step forward, avoiding Victor's touch. "Mr. Miller, I'll check the order's progress first."

"Sure, go ahead," Victor suddenly became very agreeable, looking at Tina with a gaze full of "affection."

Under the strange glances from others, Tina limped into her office and opened the system's backend.
