Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 77

Chapter 77 I'll Buy the Car Myself

Tina's body stiffened as she recalled her communication with her assistant. They had spoken on the phone, but she hadn't recorded the conversation, and the money was transferred by Sylvia's assistant with no specific remarks or indications.

Now that she figured it out, Tina immediately calmed down. Her voice sounded mechanical as she asked, "Ms. Langford, are you trying to vent your anger on me?"

"I invited you that day, but you didn't come," Sylvia said unapologetically.

Tina smiled, "I see. You left me no room for negotiation."

Sylvia clicked her tongue, "Don't make it sound like I've bullied you."

"I understand. Thank you, Ms. Langford, for teaching me a valuable lesson."

"You're welcome."

Tina hung up the phone, trembling with anger. She downed a large glass of water to calm herself gradually.

Coco happened to enter the room and was startled by Tina's expression.

"What's wrong?"

Tina sneered, "I've been set up."

Coco froze, then remembered, "Is it about the Rolls-Royce Ghost?"

Tina didn't deny it, her eyes fixed on the ground. She thought of the sinister plan she had come up with before.

Then she looked at Coco with a twisted smile, making Coco nervous.

As she walked out of the pantry, Tina returned to her seat with a calm face. She opened the drawer and found the deposit contract. The two pages with Sylvia's electronic signature were torn off, just as she had expected.

In the entire office, aside from Tiffany, Tina couldn't think of anyone else with a motive to do this.

Before she could investigate further, there was a commotion outside.

After a while, Victor rushed into the office, his face tense. "Tina, what's going on with the Rolls-Royce Ghost?"

Tina swallowed nervously, not knowing how to respond at the moment.

"Tiffany said you were deceived, and no one wanted the car?" Victor pressed on, his not-so-big eyes wide like bells.

Tina slammed the contract onto the nearby desk. "As you can see, some people just conspired against me, including one of my colleagues."

Victor didn't care if she had been deceived; even if she had been, it was her fault. He only cared about who would pay for the nearly five-million car.

"Quit the nonsense. How should we solve it now?" Victor demanded.

Tina had reached her limit and sat directly in the chair, "You're asking me? Then who should I ask?"

Victor was shocked, "What's with your attitude?"

"My colleague tricked me. What attitude should I have? I am devastated," Tina spread her hands helplessly.

Victor was so angry that he was panting. He pointed at Tina and said, "The money came from your card, and you signed the contract. The car is now under your name. If you don't resolve this, you'll have to pay for the car out of pocket!"
