Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 182

Eileen took the leap.

The sergeant then started to force the rest to jump.

Colin was the second one to take the plunge!

He didn't want to jump, but the parachute was already strapped onto him forcefully. If he didn't jump, they threatened to kick him off!

Colin's eyes were teary, are these guys really soldiers?

He felt as if they were more like gang members!

The four male guests were okay, being men, they found their inner strength after a bout of scolding. With a bit of coaxing, they were duped into jumping.

But the three female guests were a different story.

The women didn't want to jump, and the male soldiers couldn't force the parachutes onto them. Wouldn't that be forcing women?

The sergeant now started to have regrets. If he knew it would be like this, he should have brought two female paratroopers from the beginning.

In the nick of time, the show crew stepped in.

The female staff from the crew, without a second thought, started to strap Edna into a parachute.

Edna struggled like a wildcat, totally uncooperative!

The director started to rile them up, "No wonder you can't match up to Eileen."

Hearing this, Edna was immediately triggered. She glared and retorted, "What did you just say? Who can't match up to her?"

The director replied coldly, "Well, she was the first one to jump, and she's brave, determined, capable, calm, and good-looking. You three combined can't even hold a candle to her."

Patti and Jaqueline instantly stood up in anger.

They were pushed to the edge now, ready to fight for their dignity!

Edna shouted defiantly, "Well, I'm jumping!"

Actually, the previous six people had already landed safely. Even though Edna was still scared, she wasn't as terrified as before.

She just couldn't conquer her internal fear.

But now, she was blinded by anger, and didn't care anymore!

After the parachute was strapped on, Edna was the first to jump.

She stood at the door of the plane, clutching the safety handle, her legs shaking like a patient with Parkinson's, and started to have second thoughts.

She still didn't dare to jump.

Patti and Jaqueline cheered her on from the side.

Encouraged by them, adrenaline surging, Edna gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and jumped off screaming.

Once Edna successfully opened her parachute in the air, the sergeant calmly turned to Patti and Jaqueline, saying, "Next."

Meanwhile, Eileen was lounging on a sturdy fruit tree, enjoying the fruits on it.

She had already checked the area during her descent.

The surroundings were not entirely wild, there were houses at the foot of the mountain, hence there were a few fruit trees on the mountain.

These were not farm fruit trees but wild ones, bearing small oranges that didn't look too appealing.

The fruits were not sour, but not very sweet either, though very juicy.

Eileen chewed on the oranges, thinking over what had happened so far.

Since landing, she hadn't seen anyone.

She hadn't run into Egbert, nor any pursuers.

Eileen kept wondering, the sergeant avoided the topic, and didn't want to disclose whether Egbert was below.

Could it be that the sergeant wanted to keep it a secret, and Egbert was actually the leader of the pursuers?

The more she thought about it, the more possible it seemed.

Eileen turned her head, picked another fruit, peeled off the thick skin, and continued to ponder while eating.

Just then, a shrill scream echoed from the sky.

Eileen was stunned, looking up, it was Jaqueline.

Jaqueline had an open parachute above her, descending slowly, yet she was screaming like a pig being slaughtered.

Eileen frowned, having waited here for a long time without seeing any guests, the first person she saw was Jaqueline.

Eileen leaned back against the tree trunk, deciding to ignore Jaqueline.

Eventually, Jaqueline landed, but she was stuck in a tree.

Eileen had controlled her parachute during her descent and landed in an open area.

But Jaqueline obviously didn't know how to adjust her position, drifting wherever the wind blew.

As a result, she drifted to a dense area of branches, her parachute was caught, and she was left hanging in mid-air.

"Help! Is there anyone who can help me?" Jaqueline's cries were too noisy, annoying Eileen.
