Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 239

The room fell into a deafening silence.

William and Mark shared a puzzled glance. This was Eileen Lopez?

They had only spoken to Ms. Lopez once over the phone before. From that conversation, they had gathered that she was a seasoned financial advisor with a keen eye for stock market trends and strong forecasting abilities.

They thought she should be in her forties. Yet, the girl standing before them...

How old was she? Was she even of age?

After Eileen introduced herself and saw that the two men remained still, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "Well?"

Shaken back into reality, William quickly shook Eileen's hand and stuttered, "Ms. Lopez, you are... remarkably youthful?"

Eileen chuckled. Ignoring the others, she suggested to the two men in front of her, "Shall we discuss elsewhere?"

They gladly agreed.

Suddenly, Ableson stepped forward and blocked their path!

Ableson stared at Eileen with a twisted face and demanded, "What are you trying to pull, Eileen? Who do you think you are to impersonate me? I could have you arrested for identity theft!"

Eileen regarded Ableson indifferently. Due to the presence of foreign guests, she softened her words, "Mr. Lopez, it's unwise to make a scene without knowing the full story. It'll only reveal your lack of intellect."

Enraged, Ableson barked, "What did you say?! You little... Ahhh!!!" Before he could finish, he felt an excruciating pain in his foot. His scalp tingled with shock!

Looking down, he saw Eileen's sharp stiletto heel digging into his foot! The intense pain soaked him in cold sweat.

"Let go! Let go!" Ableson shrieked.

Eileen casually removed her foot and said apologetically, "Sorry, that was unintentional."

The commotion drew the attention of the rest of the party.

Many people looked over. Zack, who was at the forefront of the spectators, even started recording the scene on his phone.

Ableson stumbled back, his foot injured. He glared at Eileen, his face red with anger.

This girl was mad! And not just a little!

Ableson hissed through gritted teeth, "You heartless little bitch! I should never have taken you in, you... Ahhh!"

No one saw what had happened. All they saw was Ableson's face suddenly caving in, as if hit by a meteor. He was sent flying onto the buffet table, knocking over the entire thing!

Drinks and dishes shattered on the floor, drenching Ableson.

The spectators gasped.

William, Mark, and Blake, who were in the front row, were all stunned, their faces a picture of astonishment.

The party hall went silent. The music stopped. It was as quiet as a graveyard.

The sound of high heels clicking on the floor echoed through the room.

The girl in a long black dress slowly approached the bloodied Ableson. She shook her delicate hand, looking down at the man on the floor, his face a bloody mess.

She said lightly, "Sorry, that wasn't on purpose either."

Blood covered Ableson's head, shards of glass stuck in his skin. Blood flowed into his eyes, staining his vision red. He looked up at the girl standing over him.

She was backlit by the harsh chandelier above, blinding him.
