Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1117

Jonathan understood that Estelle didn't have many friends and it was rare for her to get along well with someone. Therefore, he was delighted and encouraged Carson to bring his girlfriend to future gatherings.

Carson replied with a grin, "No problemo, we'll be seeing a lot of each other!"

After everyone said their goodbyes, they hopped in their cars and took off.

Driving down the open road, the sun piercing through the afternoon sky, everything just felt right. Estelle was basking in the sun, listening to some chill tunes, and before she knew it, she dozed off, leaning against the car seat.

Jonathan glanced at her delicate face, his eyes glowing, and slowed down the car. He reached for his jacket in the backseat and draped it over her.

Everything was peaceful and perfect in that moment.

Estelle slept for an hour and woke up to find the car had come to a stop. Jonathan was no longer in the car. She didn't recognize the surroundings and they hadn't reached downtown J City yet.

She sat up straight, grabbing the suit jacket that had slipped off, and was about to step out of the car to look for Jonathan when she saw him lining up at a dessert shop by the road.

There were four people in line at the dessert shop. Jonathan, dressed in pricey shirt and trousers, exuded a remarkable charm, standing in front of Blythe's Dessert Shop, appearing somewhat out of place.

Estelle watched from the car as a young girl in overalls approached Jonathan, looking shy, like she wanted to swap contact info. Jonathan clearly declined the girl, who left after an awkward apology.

Soon it was Jonathan's turn to order. He paid and then waited to one side, shooting a glance back at the car.

Estelle quickly leaned back, hiding behind the car frame, pretending to be asleep.

About five or six minutes later, Jonathan came back carrying a paper bag. Seeing Estelle on her phone, he smiled and said, "Awake now?"

Estelle's hair was spread out on her cheeks; she looked at him, her eyes clear, and nodded slightly.

Jonathan handed her the paper bag, "By the time we get to J City, it'll be dark. Figured you'd be hungry when you woke up, so I got you something to eat."

Inside the bag was a room-temperature juice, a small tub of ice cream, a box of macarons, and a chocolate mille-feuille.
