Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1443

Norah approached, about to scare him, when Xavier suddenly said, "Freeze!"

Norah couldn't help but laugh. "So, you were faking sleep!"

Xavier rubbed his temple, took a cigarette, and said in a husky voice, "Why are you here at this hour?"

"I finished my classes early today!" Norah took the watering can and watered the roses in the yard.

"I've already watered them!" Xavier took a drag, sounding relaxed.

"What do you call 'watering'? You barely give them any water; the plants can't absorb that little moisture!" Norah rebuked her, then continued watering her flowers. After finishing, she went to feed her cat.

Seeing Norah, the cat was very excited, constantly trying to pounce on her.

Norah gently patted the cat's head, and it obediently sat down, wagging its tail happily.

Xavier sat under a tree, watching Norah play with the cat. The wall was full of blooming roses, reflecting the delicate face of the girl. It looked like a beautiful ink painting.

Xavier looked away, leaned back in his chair, and continued to rest his eyes.

Norah walked over and kicked him lightly, saying, "Wake up, old man!"

Xavier opened his eyes slightly and said, "What did you just call me?"

Norah said angrily, "I mean, you're becoming an old man, sitting here sunbathing every day. Have you retired early?"

Xavier took a drag, his handsome face showing a hint of laziness. "What’s wrong with that?"

"Of course it's wrong!"

Norah said, "You don't have a bit of the vitality of a young man!"

Xavier flicked off the ash and smiled lazily. "I'm not young anymore!"
