I gave her a sidelong glance and asked with a smile, "Do you like Benjamin?"

Victoria stared blankly at me and said, "It has nothing to do with you!"

"Benjamin is my husband. Do you really think that it's none of my business that you like him?" Looking at her pale face, I said indifferently, "I remember that when I was on the cruise ship, you laughed at me for being overconfident! You warned me that I would never be worthy of Benjamin because the Dunn family would only accept a woman that they deemed worthy, remember?"

I stared at her and asked, "And then?"

"You know I said those things to piss her off." I glanced at him and reminded, "She was threatening me again and I didn't feel like

letting her do that anymore!"

"Good for you!" Benjamin paused for a moment before continuing, "I remember I've taught you that when you are at a disadvantage, you should learn to keep your mouth shut."

"How could I know that Victoria looks weak, but could fight like a f*cking marine?" I thought of something and said, "You've been eavesdropping on us for a long time. Why did you just watch when she hit me? You didn't stop her until she got me on the ground."

"Victoria grew up in the army. A real marine might not even be able to fight her without getting a few punches," Benjamin said coldly as he passed me a peeled apple. Benjamin said indifferently, "I've not submitted the divorce agreement yet so we are still a couple by law."

I didn't think that the "lie" I told Victoria about our divorce not being official was actually true! I glared at him and suddenly laughed. Then I asked, "Where's Ellis? I want to see him."

"He's in school. He's gonna come back in the afternoon."
