Agnes was struck by a moment of genuine awe. After wiping off all that makeup, she realized that Phenix was naturally stunning, her aura completely transformed.
Phenix, however, laughed and asked, "Wasn't I beautiful before?"
Agnes hurriedly replied, "No, it's just that you look particularly lovely today."
"All because of your sweet talk."
The convoy was already waiting outside. It was a tradition here in the Capital. Before the bride gets into the car, she must not touch the ground. She has to be either carried or piggybacked by a brother from her family. And the one to do this was Kearney.
Kearney walked into the room. At the sight of Phenix, he, too, paused for a brief moment. Phenix struck a flirtatious pose on purpose, "How about it, am I not the most beautiful woman in the world?"
Agnes couldn't help but laugh at Phenix's deliberately comical stance. Kearney, however, slowly approached Phenix and said almost tenderly, "You are the most beautiful woman in the world, always."
Phenix seemed slightly stunned for a moment. Then she smiled and said, "Thanks, big bro."
People outside were starting to get impatient. Agnes reminded from the side, "It's time to get in the car."
Phenix said, "Big bro, could you carry me out?"
