Marriage Games with a Charming CEO novel Chapter 58

Chapter 58 Now It's Time for Me to Punish You

After buying dinner, they headed back to the apartment. Getting out of the car, Alicia let Edmond hold her hand while her mind was filled with the doctor's words.

If Edmond had lost too much blood earlier and there were no spare blood bags that matched his blood type at the hospital, what would happen to him?

Just thinking about it made her feel so afraid.

"Why are you glaring at me like this?"

"You can't do such dangerous things anymore."

Edmond shrugged and chuckled lightly, "I can't promise that. In that situation, if I didn't step in to block that glass bottle, I wouldn't be a man. I would be laughed at for the rest of my life."

"Are other people's opinions to you more important than your life?"

He smiled but didn't answer.

He didn't care about other people's opinions, but he cared the most about her life.

Alicia, like a nagging aged lady, continued to mutter as they returned home to have dinner.

It was the first time Edmond had seen her like this, and he found it amusing. So, he picked up his phone and recorded her eating while mumbling.

Only then did she stop muttering and gave him a glare. Then she continued her dinner.

Suddenly, Alicia remembered something and looked up at Edmond.

"What did you say to Matt just now? Why was he so afraid of you?"

Edmond casually replied, "Remember, as long as you hold someone's fatal weakness, you have the ultimate power over them."

Alicia stopped her eating.

"Do you know his weakness?"

"Yeah," he paused a little and then added, "Matt has a daughter with congenital heart disease. She's been waiting for a heart transplant. In addition, his mother has bone cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at the Central Hospital. These are his vulnerabilities. But what scares him the most is his own condition. I told him that with just one move, I could make him unable to have sex anymore, then he was scared stiff."

Alicia didn't expect Edmond to know so much information.

He may seem nonchalant, but he was actually very intelligent, and he had access to an astonishing amount of information and connections.

If Edmond became a businessman, he would definitely be a formidable figure.

After finishing dinner, Alicia went to do the washing-up.

As soon as she entered the kitchen, Edmond followed her in and hugged her waist from behind.

"What are you doing?"

"Do the washing-up with you."
