Chapter 59 Bring Me Food at Noon
Edmond's hand was trembling. It looked like something was wrong.
Noticing the blood seeping through the bandage on his arm, Alicia felt her heart skipped a beat. She asked, "What happened to your hand?"
He looked up, suddenly changing his previously gloomy expression to an indifferent one, and replied, "It's nothing, I accidentally knocked it off."
"Don't lie to me. Your wound is bleeding again."
"Yeah. Cause I accidentally pulled it. It's nothing serious."
As he spoke, he picked up the tooth cup and refilled it with water, then smiled at Alicia, "Want to take a shower together?"
Seeing his playful look, Alicia knew exactly what this man was thinking.
Her mouth twitched as she said, "I'm going to get some more sleep."
Closing the door, Edmond gradually erased the smile from his face and looked at his arm, lost in thought.
While Alicia was cleaning before leaving the house, she noticed Edmond not doing anything. She said, "Stop wasting time. Finish your part of cleaning and let's go downstairs for breakfast before work."
"You caught me."
Edmond smiled, turned around, and pressed his injured arm. When the trembling subsided a bit, he continued his part of tidying up the house without revealing anything to Alicia.
When the two of them went downstairs together, Alicia accidentally bumped into Edmond's wound. He instinctively pulled his hand away, and his expression slightly changed with pain. This time, she caught his unusual behavior.
Alicia asked seriously.
"Are you really okay?"
He swallowed and answered with evasiveness in his gaze. "The wound might be infected."
"I'll take you to the hospital later."
"No need. I can take care of it myself."
"If it's serious, take a few days off."
Edmond once again put on a carefree expression, raised his eyebrows, and smiled at her, teasingly asking, "If I don't work, will you support me?"
Alicia replied with annoyance. Seeing that he could still joke around, she figured he was probably fine.
Although Alicia had already had someone retrieved Edmond's car from the OC Club, she still didn't trust him to drive. So, she personally took Edmond to his hospital and planned to pick him up after work.
Edmond sat in the car with his legs crossed, looking satisfied, and said, "Can you bring me some food at noon?"
Alicia glanced at him and said, "Are you pushing your luck?"
"I'm injured. It's inconvenient for me to get lunch from the canteen."
