Marriage Games with a Charming CEO novel Chapter 92

Chapter 92 We Don't Kill But Torture Those Who Are Single

The change in Alicia's attitude made Edmond feel great satisfaction and pleasure.

The lunch was not too good.

But he was full.

Even if the meal was not great, Edmond still felt happy since his wife cooked it for him.

Alicia's leg injuries were still not fully recovered, so she took some medical ointment to rub on them herself.

Upon seeing the dining table with a broken leg, a wave of anger suddenly rushed up and swept away the gentleness on Alicia's face while replacing it with an indifferent look as she said to Edmond coldly, "None of the furniture in our house is still intact in one good piece."

Edmond grunted and picked up the ointment to rub it for her instead.

Although he felt a little heartache, his expression did not show the slightest hint of remorse or guilt as he casually answered with a smirk, "Buy a new one since it's broken."

"No money!" Alicia countered.

"Use my card," Edmond replied.

"You keep breaking things in the house every day. It won't work even if I keep replacing it with new ones!" Alicia rebutted.

"I'm sorry. I know it's my fault, but I'll still do it again the next time." Edmond brushed away her rebut easily.

Alicia gave up arguing with him.

Edmond was such a shameless, teasing, and absurd person that it was always her on the receiving end.

As for Edmond, he could not stand the twinkling in her eyes. Although he was the one who started the teasing first, he was later mesmerized by her.

So it was not totally his fault.

He could only push the blame on the furniture at home for not being sturdy enough.

Without remorse, Edmond earnestly suggested, "Next time, we should buy furniture made of metal or cement, which will be sturdier and stronger."

Alicia was speechless.

While the couple was still tidying the mess in their home, someone rang their doorbell suddenly.

Alicia signaled for Edmond to open the door and instructed, "Our house is still in a mess, don't let the guest come in, all right? This is so embarrassing."

He mumbled a response and opened the door when he realized that it was Eli waiting outside with a gloomy face. With a little mischief in mind, Edmond welcomed Eli into the house with a polite smile.

"Please come in." Edmond gestured.

Eli was puzzled.

Why did Edmond, who had been hostile toward him, suddenly become so warm and welcoming?
