Chapter 91 What do you like?
The young couple stayed in Melissa's ward and waited.
Finally, Melissa woke up at the break of dawn.
After some examination, the doctor deemed the operation a success, and Alicia could finally put her mind at ease.
Although Melissa had woken up, she was too weak and could not speak up much.
Melissa and Alicia stared at each other before the tears of happiness rolled down their faces.
"I told you before that I would live up to 99 years old." Melissa joked with a pale smile.
The nurse came in and changed the drips and bandages for Melissa, and soon she fell back into a deep slumber again.
It was only then did Edmond dragged Alicia away.
"Let's go back and have a good sleep. I know you haven't slept well for the past few days." Edmond instructed.
Even yesterday, when Alicia fainted due to low blood sugar, her brows were still knitted tightly and kept muttering during her unconsciousness.
Edmond could not catch what she was muttering yesterday, but he knew she must have been very insecure.
Back at the apartment, showered, and lying on the bed, Alicia finally regained a sense of security.
Edmond exited the bathroom and saw Alicia spread herself out on the bed without blow-drying her hair as she was on the verge of dozing off into sleep just like this.
There was nothing he could do with Alicia.
Edmond had no choice but to fetch the hairdryer and dry Alicia's hair for her.
Alicia was sleepy but felt the warm air blowing on her head amid her drowsiness and the warm sunlight that shone on her face through the window. For the moment, a faint sense of happiness swept over her.
She could not help but let out a faint smile.
"I like it a lot..." Alicia murmured.
Edmond paused his blow-drying motion and looked at her in shock while a smile crept across his face.
"What do you like?" Edmond asked smilingly.
"Hmm..." Alicia murmured faintly.
Alicia did not open her eyes, and a look of mesmerized and confusion spread across her face as her body relaxed as if she had some very comfortable dream.
With a flutter in his heart, Edmond slowly leaned down and brushed his fingertip through the stray hairs near her forehead, guiding her with a slight hint of bewitchment.
"As in, you like me?" Edmond tried to coax the answer he wanted to hear from Alicia.
Alicia was falling asleep, but her faint smile still lingered as she whispered, "Yes."
"Do you really like me?" Edmond continued.
"Yes," Alicia responded quietly.
"Will you still like me in the future?" Edmond asked again.
"Yes," Alicia answered before finally falling into a deep sleep.
